Arrival Story:
I found Bailey on February 13, 2004 walking down a busy highway. I believe he had been dumped by someone who didn't want him. My vet said that he was about four years old and that he had been abused by his former owner. He also had a mild case of heartworms but is all better now. I call him my miracle doggie because in March, 2003, a beagle that was my constant companion for 16 years, Clancy, had to be put to sleep because of kidney failure and congestive heart failure. I didn't think that I was was ready for another dog yet, but I believe that Clancy sent Bailey to me because he knew that I needed a special friend. Bailey has helped me get through a bad real estate decision and being relocated to Huntsville, AL. He is truly my best buddy.
