Arrival Story:
Monty was adopted from IGCA Rescue Texas in August of '06. His original name was Merlot but it's obvious upon meeting him that he's much more of a Monty. He was surrendered to Rescue when his first human family was transferred overseas. This lucky little guy got to be fostered by a very loving "dad" and it seems like he hasn't known an unhappy day in his life. Monty was adopted along with Livingston and quickly settled into his new home with two loving "parents," his "brother" Livy, the adoration of his "grandparents," and currently the companionship of his foster IG "brother" Taylor. [EDIT: Taylor was adopted in February of '07! The same month Ida Roo, the rompous puppeh, joined the family. She and Monty have been cheerfully engaged in a face-chewing contest ever since. They're very good friends.]

When very happy, Monty has been known to "celebrate his union contract" by lying on his back and spinning around on the ground in the manner of Homer Simpson in that episode where Lisa needs braces so Homer heads up a strike to get the nuclear plant's workers a dental plan. You know the one I'm talking about. He also likes Old Mother Hubbard biscuits wedged into an iggy-scale Kong. Good times.
