Arrival Story:
Saw a picture of her & another pup on petfinder.org from a rescue group. Went to see them & feel in love with my Kayla Bear. Took her home that day!

Bio:
She was rescued from a scrapyard in Detroit with siblings & eventually her parents. Our vet thinks she may have seen abuse of her siblings or parents or been abused as she has anxiety issues & is terrified of any type of bags. Garbage, plastic, etc.. Also she had to hae a toe amputated from a rear paw at 4 months. It was deformed & casuing her pain. The vet isn't sure if it was a birth defect of from something that was done to her before she was rescued. The vet also believes Kayla would have been a bigger dog, but that her growth was stunted by a combination of things from birth. She still is a bit skinny, but we're working on her! She was resucued at 5 weeks & we got her a week later. But now she's a very loving, happy cuddly best friend!
