I am The Best Lil' Doghouse In Dogster Fur Of The Month For- August!

*does the pommie happy dance* YIPPEE!, I am Fur of the Month for August in The Doghouse! *swings and twirls around*
Thank you so much for this huge honor and it comes at the most perfect time. With closing our group Yappy Hour that we have had for over three years, I was feeling a little down and this was just what I needed to help perk me up! *smiles*

I also want to thank each and every furiend who stopped by and read my questionnaire (I know...I got a little carried away sometimes!), sent me a gift or congratulated me on this special honor. Y'all sure know how to make a gurrrl feel special! (((hugs)))

I also have to give a shout out to the Summerville Seven for so graciously passing this honor on to me...Y'all rock and I shall do my best to make you proud! *winks and giggles*

Went to the Vets today

I had to go to the Vets this morning...I have been shaking my head a lot and kind of scratching at my ears so momma took me in to be checked. No ear infection...they think it is allergies. So I have some meds to calm down where I was itching and they gave me a shot for the rest. Phew!

BUT....that wasn't the worst part! As we were walking from our car to the office some lady was walking her springer spaniel ahead of us. The dog was not walking well on the leash at all and we could see why! The dog was cowering away from this lady and as she is jerking and yanking on the leash to get the dog to walk right, she would take the other end of the leash and HIT THE DOG IN THE HEAD WITH IT!!!! Momma said to the lady in a stern voice, "STOP HITTING HER! NO WONDER THE DOG WON'T WALK NEXT TO YOU AND COWERS AWAY! STOP JERKING ON THE LEASH AND WHEN SHE COWERS WAY HIT HER AGAIN! SHE IS SCARED OF YOU AND HITTING HER ISN'T GOING TO MAKE HER LEARN TO WALK WITH YOU! I WOULD COWER TOO IF YOU TREATED ME LIKE THAT! To which this lady called my momma a bad name and told us to mind our own business. Well, as we walked into the office, the lady behind the desk asked what happened because the lady was swearing at momma as we were walking in so momma told the office so everyone could hear what happened!!! Believe me, there were many many many dirty looks being sent towards that lady after that! And to top it off, she continued to reprimand the the dog the whole time she was there! I can't believe she stayed to begin with! If just feel so sad for this poor dog!

Thank you so much to everyfur that has sent Kobe and I a Might Paw gift! Isn't it the coolest ever when Dogster gives us something like that to send to all our pals so they know we are thinking of them!

Even though we might not be in touch with each and every pal on a daily bases, we are still so grateful for ALL of our pals furiendships and like to pass along a gift when we can.

Today is my birthday!

I am so excited to be celebrating it with my furbrother Kobe and my family. Momma is making me my favorite home made Tuna Treats and I got some new toys too!

Today is going to be a pawsome day!

Dog Now I Lay Me Prayer

Now I lay me down to sleep,
The king-size bed is soft and deep.
I sleep right in the center groove
My human being can hardly move!

I’ve trapped her legs, she’s tucked in tight
And here is where I pass the night
No one disturbs me or dares intrude
Till morning comes and “I want food!”

I sneak up slowly to begin
my nibbles on my human’s chin.
She wakes up quickly,
I have sharp teeth-
I’m a puppy, don’t you see?

For the morning’s here
and it’s time to play
I always seem to get my way.

IT IS MY 4th BIRTHDAY!

I can't believe all the wonderful birthday wishes, gifts, rosettes and photos I am getting from so many wonderful pals. You have just made my day!

Momma took me to Pet Depot yesterday but I was too shy to go into the store. She is hoping tonight I will do better. Too many dogs there yesterday. I wonder what I will choose for my gift? I bet it will make some sort of noise...BOL!
Did you know they give you a birthday cookie at the front dest and take your photo when it is your birthday! How cool is that!

Here's 7 facts about me!

1. I am very good...and I mean VERY good at shredding any tissues or napkins that might have fallen on the floor. Hey, isn't that what they are there for!

2. I am the best barker in the world! Yep, nothing gets by me. I will bark at the wind if it makes a loud enough noise! (some on has to warn the humans!)

3. My favorite thing in the whole wide world is snuggling with momma either in the chair or under her chin in bed.

4. I steal socks and wash clothes and take them under the chair with me. :-) I have quite a pile at times and will make them into quite the nice bed if you ask me!

5. I love the snow and won't come in until momma picks me up and carries me in!

6. I love to run...RUN...R-U-N out in the trails in my back yard.

7. CHEESE!!!! Did someone say cheese! MY FAVORITE! I can hear the wrapper of a piece of cheese being open when I am sound asleep and will come running and do the "POMMIE HAPPY DANCE" until I get some!

THE BEST WEEKEND EVER!!

This past weekend was the best weekend ever! I got to go with Momma to see my best friend Kansas! AND to make the weekend even better...we drove to New Jersey and I finally got to meet TAKODA! Am I the luckiest girl in the world or what!

I was all excited. All week momma kept asking me if I wanted to go see Kansas and of course when ever she asked, I would to the happy dance! So Friday momma packed up the car and we drove 4 -1/2 hours to Kansas's house! I jumped out of the car and was all over the yard with excitement when we arrived. I just couldn't help myself....I just love that family and couldn't wait to start playing with every one!

Kansas and I had fun together. I am still a little scared of other dogs but I am getting much better and what better pal to do the job of making me not scared anymore than Kansas. She is as sweet in real life as she is her on Dogster. And I tell you what...that girl sure knows how to play! She wore us out!

Sunday Kansas, our moms and I drove to New Jersey to see Takoda. Kansas already knew him but I didn't so this was going to be some more fun. I don't know if y'all know him or not but he is one big dog! He is friendly though and made Kansas and I feel right at home playing in his back yard. There were all kinds of toys to play with and we even had a doggy pool we could swim in! So as the mom's chit-chatted on the deck...the dogs played. Or I should say, Kansas played and we joined in once in a while. BOL! That girl was non-stop!

I did very well around Takoda (or T as his mom and dad call him) and even sat still to get some photo's taken with him. I only snuck through the deck ralings twice to get away! (Pays to be the little one once in a while!) Being there around Kansas and Takoda was a HUGE step for me and thanks to my two best friends I over came some of my fear of other dogs and had a good time.

So now I am home and have added some of the photos from our fun weekend. I want to thank Kansas and Takoda for being such "Fantastic" friends...I am so lucky to have you in my life!
