Arrival Story:
Nicholi was at a pound after being dumped by his owners. He was there at the pound for over 7 months, and was losing his mind there. I found him circling in his cage, without stopping. Every time a dog would bark, which was constantly, he would cringe as if it hurt him. He could not handle the shelter environment at all. He is from "Oakville Humane Society", who did thier best. Nicky always had issues with his urination, always like water, and was borderline Cushings for years. His kidneys failed at the end, we kept him feeling well til his last 2 hours when his lungs suddenly filled with fluid. He could not breate, at the vet we decided to let him go, he was in distress. His illness was terminal and at it's final stage, he was so lucky to have felt so well for as long as he did with renal failure. Kidney dogs, go to K9KIDNEYS @YAHOOGROUPS.COM to learn everything you need to know about Canine Renal Failure. Now all the gang of four are together again, in Heaven. Can't wait to see you guys again!

Bio:
The pound said he was extremely hyperactive and wild. I took him out and found he was fine, normal. I took him home and found he was stable and good, not hyper at all, just had some fur issues, crappy coat but it is improving with zinc supplements and omega oils. After diagnosis of Canine Renal Failure, Nicholi hung on and did well, but suddenly crashed, Nicki left us April 6 2009 at age 10.

Forums Motto:
thinks he is the most important dog.
