In the past Atticus was a fan of frisbee, but he has grown into a distinguished gentleman who simply enjoys a good walk with his housemate, and to stop to smell the lilacs once in a while.

Atticus enjoys long walks, no matter if it's around our neighborhood, or hiking in a local forest.

He used to have quite a fan club because of his frisbee feats, but now they love his amiable personality.

Arrival Story:
When my house was broken into in December 2001, although I hadn't been searching for a dog, my parents took me to some places "just to look." At one place there was a certain dog who I was drawn to, and the moment I picked him up he licked my face a bunch and it just seemed to click. I didn't want to put him back even though I knew I probably should--and my parents enabled this behavior by saying that if I decided I didn't want him, they could take him (we've always had aussies). Unfortunately I have since realized that the breeder of the dog is BAD BAD BAD (she runs a puppy mill, even though it doesn't "feel" like one) so after some other more reputable Aussie breeders heard my story they told me to say he was a "rescue," as in I rescued him from his breeder.

Bio:
Check out The Daily Atticus, where Atticus posts one photo of himself per day! Atticus has a fan club, and whenever he meets new people they end up adoring him. "This is the dog I've always wanted" one has said. Strangers used to approach us in the park and profess their amazement at his frisbee skill (he doesn't play frisbee much these days though). He loves people, although he is kind of timid around certain other dogs. He is calm when appropriate, and super energetic and excited when playing. He is 27 inches at the withers, four inches taller than preferred ASCA standard for males, with long legs. Some say he is part horse.
