Diary of a Poochon Girl

Ouch! My Back Hurts!

I have been feeling a little under the weather since a couple of days and mom called the vet. I am usually so perky and fun loving. She calls me her little Poochon Clown. I love to play and blitz with my cousin Guimauve and my sister Vanille. I have not done that in a few days now and mom said that was not normal for me.

My human sister took me to the vet along with cousin Guimauve and he took an x-ray of my back. I was wondering what the big guy wanted to do with me. I was so scared, I pooped right there! My human sis was not mad at me and the big guy either. Ouf!

He told Sister that I had a collapsed disc in my lower back and he poked me with a stingin' needle. Ouch!! He said it was steroids to make the inflammation go away and he prescribed anti-inflammatory medicine and pain killers for a week. Yuck!

The bad news is he wants me to be in that crate for ONE WHOLE WEEK! He doesn't want me to walk around too much and said I needed lots of rest. Yuck again! If I do well, I might be on meds for awhile. If not.... he said mom will have to consider surgery.

Mom is worried about me, my sister Vanille who has 2 mammary tumors and my brother Kinko who has severe allergies. That is all aside from having lost a trial for permanent partial injuries when she fell in a hole and seriously injured herself at the local Wal-Mart store in 2003.

We need prayers please....

4. I ask for my rescuers, Country Ladies Rescue, to receive tons of donations for Valentines so they can rescue and take care more fur babies.
5. I wish I will get a Cozy Cave doggie bed this year!
