Arrival Story: I was looking for a companion for our other dog and after much searching, found her at an L.A. County Shelter looking as cute as could be. I could not resist her. She was my doggy destiny.

Bio: Lexi's Story: We wont go into my past because my first owners "did not have time for me". Then this lady came to visit me at this place I was living. I lived in a cage all by myself. I was lonely. She came to me a couple of times. Then one of the shelter workers stamped my card "I have a home!". I am forever thankful my mom is on the ball when it comes to animals. When she picked me up from the shelter I had just been spayed earlier that day. Mom had already made arrangements with the V-E-T for me to stay for a week to recover. Good thing too, because I was dying. Mom took pictures of me because she did not think she would see me alive again. She told the vet do what ever it takes, but save her life. I was 11 months old. I week later, after being on IV antibiotics and fluids, with my incision healing properly, I got to go home. I was a wild dog, but mom had patience and love. She saw the dog inside that I could be, not the crazy dog I was. I am 5 years old now and healthy. I have learned all the typical dog stuff, and to not chew on cats. Mom said she is proud of me because I have become the dog she knew I always was. A dirt princess. ha ha ha.

Forums Motto: It's all about me!!!

Mom and Dad have separated. But, everything is working out ok. I thought I would have to find a new home, but mom and dad talked and mom told dad she would help with me, Duke, Raven and Eva. Daddy kept 2 cats. I am glad he kept the one I like to lick. (Raven). I am so happy everything worked out. I did not want to leave my home, my daddy, or Duke. Thanks mom and dad for working this out for me!!!!

Hi everyfur!!! I added two pictures to my page. My friend is a really cool Rottweiler named Osso. He loved to play and he loved kids. He had a very loving family. Yesterday, a mean person poisoned Osso with antifreeze. Osso could not be saved. He is at the bridge now, flying free. His family is devastated. They cannot understand how a sweet, happy and loving dog, a furry family member could meet this kind of fate. We are sending woofs, purrs, and prayers for this family. Osso was/is very much loved and will be missed deeply by his family. I just wanted to tell his story because he is not on Dogster.
Thanks for listening!
Woofs!

I am so glad that mom talked to the landlord about that stupid tree. Avocado fall off and hit me all the time. It is starting to get on my nerves. She told the landlord that the tree is launching green bombs at me. He laffed, but took it seriously. He said he will get the tree guy over here asap. I would love to have grass. I am tired of getting dirt in my eyes. Then mom has to come rinse out my eyes, put medicine in my eyes, and oh how I love all of that. Mom said I am getting a dog bath tomorrow, after she comes back from grooming my cousin dog Happy. Oh boy, I can't wait. Hope they got the drain cleaner ready!!! BOL. Maybe mom will take a picture of me when I am clean. That would be a first.
Ok, I shall woof some more later.....
