New brother coming tomorrow!!

Last night mama took me to the petco store and we had a good time. I got to smell other doggies and the floor and try and steal toys from the bins. It was a grand time. Mama bought a bunch of stuff but can you believe it was all for brother??? He is coming home tomorrow and I'm getting ready to show him who's boss. Mama says he is a very nice dog and that I will be happy when he gets home. I'm not sure about that. He better know it's MY house and that all the toys are MINE!! I wasn't very happy at first but then I got to thinking that having a brother will be fun. We can play tug together and I can show him how to do NASCAR dog around the couch. I'm thinking this may be a good idea. But mama better buy that new big bed she's been talking about now that there will be three of us in there!!!!

Snow and brother!!

Oh my goodness it snowed here and I am not liking it one bit. It makes my feets cold and I do NOT want to go outside to potty. I did on the carpet yesterday for the first time in a long time and mama was not happy about it. It is so cold out there too but I hate wearing sweaters and coats and I fight them if mama puts one on. I can't win!!! I think I will stay inside by the fireplace and stay warms.

On top of that mama tells me I am getting a brother. His name is Winchester and he's older than me by a few months. How can I be big brother now? I will have to show this guy who is boss of the house. I can't decide how I feel about this. Right now it's just me and mama and I get all her love and attention so how will I share her with brother? On the other hand, I do like to play and with brother we can play while mama is on her silly computer or running the vacuum or in the bathtub. I guess this might be a good thing. I guess I'll have to wait and see. He better know that all the toys are mine though!!!

Fun at nana's house!!

Oh so mama and I went home to nana's for Christmas. We had so much fun. I didn't get presents yet because mama said I have to wait til next weekend when Aunts Suzi and Chrissy are home too. Presents aside I had a wonderful weekend. Mama let down her guard and let me have some people foods. I got a carrot, a piece of roast, a potato peel (nana dropped on accident) and I got to try frosting.

I did real good not pottying in nana's house. I did have on accident but I couldn't help it. I was sure embarrassed and mama told me I was naughty. But I got on nana's lap and kissed her and all was forgiven.

Last night we got home and I took a really long nap. Playing all weekend sure tires a puppy out.

I can't wait to go back this weekend!!!

My first Christmas!!

Oh boy, I get to go home to nanna's house this weekend for Christmas. Mama says we get to play and have fun and I won't have to be in my kennel for 4 whole days!! I get to go and be spoiled (more than usual) by my nanna!!! I hope Santa brings me fun stuff.

So close yet so far away

Mama came home with a big bag last night and due to my super smelling abilities knew instantly it was full of toys. But you know what she did? She put them up in the closet. She mentioned something about "Wait til Christmas!" Now I know I was born 9 mos ago but I have no idea what this thing "Christmas" is?? I think she is making this up.

All was forgiven when mama washed my snuggle sack and put it on the bed still warm from the dryer. My mama is the best.

Mama said we may not be getting another doggie for awhile. I am still KING of the house!! YAY!!!

Me vs. the wrapping paper

So mama went out yesterday and was gone for a long time. I was sad but when she came home she had new squeaky ball for me. Oh, how I love those and their great sounds. Mama thought the ball would keep me busy while she wrapped the Christmas presents. However, I found a new papery delight that is full of color. I loved it!! One piece had pictures of other doggies on it so I, of course, assumed it was for me and away I ran with it.

I did get in trouble when I ran away with a t-shirt mama bought for her co-worker. I got it all slobbery and she was mad!! But do I my usual where I put my ears back and cuddle up and she forgives me real quick.
I'm gooooood!!!

White Papery Delights

I have found a new and wonderful treat I never knew existed. It is easily accessible in the bathrooms. It's right there on a roll ready to go. Who thought of such a great invention. For some reason mama yells when I try to eat it but I run away and she's so slow I've got it all chewed up before she finds me. She says I'm wasting it but I see her roll it up and throw it in the big white water bowl thing and then it disappears away. Now that seems like a waste to me.

The Dreaded Bath

So mom put me in the tub last night and I was not happy. I just can't understand why I must be subjected to this torture. Water is the enemy. Then she makes it worse by clipping my nails. She did make things ok by giving me an Arby's curly fry!!!

I do have a new friend Wilbur on my list and that is super cool.


Today's plan is to figure out how to get out of my kennel and eat the toilet paper!!

Day 1

Hello other doggies. My name is Cooper and I am almost 9 mos old. I came to live with my mama Emily on August 27, 2006. I was very scared in the car but once I got home I realized what a great home I was in.

Recently, mama bought a brand new house and it's three stories so I get to run up and down the stairs all the time. I just love it!! I also love to walk on the back of the sectional couch. I also have a sneaky way of getting ahold of the remote controls and mom's cell phone. I swear I don't know why all those teeth marks are in the phone I was just carrying it around for awhile.

Right now it's just mom and me but she says soon I'll be getting a baby sister or brother. I'm not sure I am ready to share the house with another doggie but I'll have to make sure they know I'm the boss and that all the toys are mine. Maybe I will like the new dog? I do get lonely when mom is at work. But she says "somebody has to pay the bills" and off she goes til 5pm. I guess another doggy would be fun. We could talk all day and plot how to get the remotes and the kitchen towels off the stove.

I just had surgery last week. I'm not sure why but when I look between my legs something is gone. I never asked for them to be removed. Don't you think she would have perhaps consulted me on this?? Again, mama said something about "New carpet doesn't grow on trees" but I ignored her.
