Pet-Peeves: Being left alone (I tend to whine and cry), having my teeth brushed, not getting attention. Favorite Toy: knotted rope, squeaky ball. Favorite Food: Doggy Treats, any kind will do, preferably meat flavored. Favorite Walk: Around the neighborhood where we live, I love meeting new dogs when I'm walked. Best Tricks: Fetching Arrival Story: Daddy picked me out at a local pet shop. I was supposed to be a surprise for Mommy, but he couldn't keep the secret and told her about me. She had to wait to see me 'til I was brought home on Nov. 4th. Mommy and Daddy lived in Hawaii for 2 yrs, and they loved it there, so they decided to give me a Hawaiian name. My name means Brave, Bold, Fearless. Bio: I was born in Tokyo, Japan(Gunma Perfecture) and purchased at a pet shop in Okinawa, Japan. I shall call Okinawa my home for a lil bit, until we get to move. So far, I've lost 3 bottom puppy teeth and 3 up top within the last week and a half. The new adult teeth are growing in YIPEE! I have one more up top that is loose, I wonder how long before it falls off. Mommy has tried to locate the teeth that I've lost, but hasn't had any luck finding them, probably because they're so small. She thinks I probably swallowed them. There's a picture of me w/ my missing teeth posted, Mommy thought I looked funny and decided to take pics, I don't get it, even humans go through the whole "loosing baby teeth" cycle? Weird!
Went to the vet today, I now weigh 5.4 lbs, gained 2 lbs since my last visit almost a month ago. Got 3 shots, OUCH! Got a benadryl shot because last time I went in for my shots I got an allergic reaction. My shoulder got swollen,I was shivering almost all night, and Mommy had to give me children's tylenol, as recommended by the vet. So after that first shot worked into my system, I got my rabies shot, distemperment shot, and I got micro-chipped. So far, only a little bit of swelling, but not as bad as last time, and no shivers. Just being lazy and resting next to Mommy & Daddy on the sofa. We also found out that I have an ear infection, and have to go back in to get it looked at next week. Dumb weather. The vet said that because of the moisture and bacteria in the air, and because I have floppy ears, the moisture that goes in my ears doesn't dry, causing the bacteria to grow and develop into an ear infection. I got my ears cleaned with this solution, and it feels better, I'm not scratching or picking at my ears as much. Now I have to get my ears cleaned constantly to prevent it from happening. All in all, it was a painful day for me. Hopefully when I go back in, there will be no more shots.
