Birthday: March 5th 1999 Likes: To play ball and wrestle with her Pit Bull buddy L.P. Pet-Peeves: She doesn't like to be barked at by her American Eskimo 'sister' Joey. Favorite Toy: A ball Favorite Food: Animal Crackers. If given a choice she will take animal crackers instead of a bowl with gravy in it. Favorite Walk: She loved to play in her new backyard. Arrival Story: Gretchen was originally intended to go live with my aunt that had recently lost her dog. My aunt was not ready for another dog. My dad tried to return her to the rescue she came from. But, everytime he got near the rescue Gretchen would start shaking uncontrollably. My dad said he could not in good conscience leave her at a place that upset her so bad. So, Gretchie went to live with my dad. My dad is older and in poor health. He has 3 other dogs and an unfenced yard. He had a difficult time keeping an eye on her. The last time she disappeared from his house I cried all night. I made a promise that if she was returned safely I would take her into my home. She was found at about 2am, safe and sound. The next day she came to live with me. That was Sept. of 2003. She now has a fenced yard, more tennis balls than all the dogs in the neighborhood combined, and most of all lots of love and attention. Bio: My little Gretchie was diagnosed with Chronic Renal Failure at the young age of 5. She is no longer here on this earth, but she is always going to be in my heart. I've Been On Dogster Since:
