I could not have a dog in my apartment, so my parents said they would keep her for "just a while" until I moved. Twelve years later she is glued to my father at the hip; mom takes good care of her too. I get custody sometimes when they go out of town. Bio: Bessie is known as a "cow puppy" because I had a dream 9 months before she was born about getting a miniature black & white cow - Bessie's black & white spotted ermine coat and her propensity to graze turned out to be a dream come true. No doubt the sweetest dog on earth, she is the Queen B of the household and knows and understands every word that is spoken. As for other pets, Bessie detests "kitties," except for her feline neighbor Nicholas - go figure. At 12 years old she has become the Alpha dog of the neighborhood and chooses to ignore most other dogs. Just a hint of "going by-bys in the car" will create a fur-flinging frenzy that demands immediate attention. Once in the car, she sits up and looks around like the most perfect human passenger. Given the opportunity, I'm sure she could operate any vehicle! I've Been On Dogster Since:
