Puppy Chow and the occasional proverbial doggie treat!... of course there's always begging at the table....

Favorite Walk:
In the backyard! LOVES to run, just like Rio!

Best Tricks:
Sneaking around trying to find a place to pee....

Arrival Story:
It was in the days before Thanksgiving this year...I had been wanting another dog.. yeah... call me crazy. But my husband's boss's champion labrador, Hank "accidentally" (accidentally to whom?? ROFL!) mated with his girlfriend's golden lab and their puppies were born 10-13 this year. I pestered my husband so much that he finally caved. Todd brought the pups to work so Russell could look at them. He came home telling me about this little short-haired female who was the most gorgeous copper color... and that was it. I knew we had to have her. We got her the day before Thanksgiving. She is precious!!! And very smart!!

She is learning to get along with Haddie and Rio. Rio didn't know what to make of her at first... and they engaged in a few "stare-down" sessions....it was tense for a while. Haddie had had her own puppies a few years ago, so she was non-plussed about her for the most part. Now that she's been with us a few weeks, Haddie just tolerates her, and Rio really has taken to her! Talk about role reversal..! Rio and Dixie play just like she and Haddie used to when we first got Rio. And when Haddie and Rio go outside to potty, Dixie goes too. House breaking "should be" a breeze... though we've had a few "accidents". But we have no carpet in the house, tile and laminate flooring, so it's a lot easier than having carpet everywhere.

Forums Motto:
I'll stare you down
