Likes: Giving KISSSES!!!!, walking through doorways, hiding hard treats, play fighting w/ Eli, the dog park, c-a-r rides, w-a-l-k-s, her Kong toy
Pet-Peeves: Being crowded, gentle leaders, dad's R/C truck
Favorite Toy: Doesn't really get into toys, but does have a Kong toy and a frog stuffed animal that ribbits.
Favorite Food: She's not picky, though she does moniter how much food she eats (she won't eat more than 5 cups a day, and if she has too many treats during the day, she'll leave food at dinner). She LOVES beef bones!
Favorite Walk: Anywhere, preferably a long walk though.
Best Tricks: Sit, Paw, other paw, High Five, Down, Wait, (she does most of her tricks by visual commands), scratching to go out, catching treats, making people think she's scary
Arrival Story: At the time, my boyfriend was living with his friend. There was this little restuarant down the street that we went to all the time, and by the front door was a bulletin board. We were going for lunch one day and the bulletin board had a notice saying, "Free dog, dalmation/lab mix." My boyfriend LOVES black and white animals, so we asked his friend if it was ok for us to get a dog. He said sure, so we set up a time to go look at her. I am some what obssessed with dogs, so I know quite a bit about dog breeds and when I saw I knew that though there might be lab (we doubt it though) the main other breed she was mixed with was border collie. Anyway, we fell in love instantly and said we would take her. Then we drove to petsmart and got her all her amenities. It has been over two years now and we are very pleased with our free puppy.
Bio: She used to think she was a lap dog (even though she's a big dog), but that has calmed down a bit. She does still insist on sitting in someone's lap every once in a while though ;-) Also, just like her mom she LOVES babies of any species. If we come home smelling like puppies, or baby, or kittens, she will spend the first half hour we're home alternating between sniffing us and searching the house for the "missing" baby!

I've Been On Dogster Since:
Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Dogs who are tagged, need to post in their Diary the rules & their 7 pawsome facts. Then choose 7 dogs to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to bark them a pmail that they have been tagged and to read your Diary, or, send them a fun Rosette announcing they've been Tagged!
Seven Pawsome Facts About Alexis:
7. The hair around my ears is naturally crimped and feels like very soft yarn.
6. I have *huge* "elbow-hawks": hair growing straight out from my elbows.
5. I have a big prey drive, but once I catch the critter I just lick 'em clean forever!
4. I get mad when the dogs at the park won't let me herd them.
3. I howl like a wolf....and it cracks mom up.
2. I understand human, but don't know how to speak it (luckily mom speaks dog).
1. I am very self-conscious about my weight: I eat no more than 5 cups of food per day, including treats, and I get very upset when others joke with me about my weight (people ask mom all the time if she feeds me enough).
Now I have to decide who to tag. In random order (from my selection of pup pals -- Woof!):
I gots a valentine, yaya! hehehe, I'm super excited, if ya couldn't tell. His name is Loki, and he is one handsome dog! If you wanna see, you can go to his page: http://www.dogster.com/dogs/234560/sniff
Well, mom was super cool today, she took us on an hour walk, and though there weren't a lot of people out, there sure were a bunch of great smells (we went a new way today). Then she took us to the dog park, but there were no dogs there, so we got bored after, like, a half an hour and came home. That's the second time we've gone there and no body has been there...I guess it's getting too cold for most of the doggies parents. Hopefully the next we go, there will be some dogs for me to play with, 'cuz though I *love* my walks with mom, I need to RUN. Oh well, better luck next time, right?
*ahem* Update on the Frisbee learning: I am resisting, but Eli is getting lots of treats for holding or carrying it, so I don't know how much longer I can hold out...
