Likes: Food (of course), playing out at the tennis courts, retrieving, being with Mommy all day, acorns
Pet-Peeves: Getting her nails trimmed, her teeth brushed, bathtime, wearing her Muttluks and eardrops
Favorite Toy: Anything that squeaks, tennis balls, stuffed ducks, FRISBEE
Favorite Food: Solid Gold and acorns (and other delightful things)
Favorite Walk: The nature trails near campus
Best Tricks: Retrieval, pressing elevator and door buttons, picking up a dime, putting books in the drop at the library
Arrival Story: I am a recipient of a gorgeous, wonderful service dog named Pebbles from Canine Partners for Life. She was raised in a prison puppy program for her first year of life where she learned obedience and was socialized (and I found learned "Dance" and "Roll Over"). Then she said goodbye and went to CPL where she learned all of her service skills so she could help me be more independent.--I applied for a service dog because I needed help with my balance because of my cerebral palsy, was told that my dog was available, went up to PA for 3 weeks of intensive training, and am now back in Texas with my lovely Pebbles.
Bio: I am a college student and Pebbles is adapting well to the lifestyle. She likes to snore in my classes and at work. Also especially when there is a serious discussion going on and it is totally inappropriate to start laughing. People were very welcoming of her here--she attracts attention wherever we go.

I just found out that Mom is going to make me a homemade Frosty Paw for our 2nd anniversary! I'm so excited!
And Mom said that she's so happy that she found plain yogurt without sugar this time --last time, she could only find the kind with sugar and I kind of went nuts for a bit!
It's hard to believe that on the 23rd, Mom and I will have been together for 2 years! Wow! Time sure flies by!
I will be 6 in January, but I still have plenty of spunk and work left in me! I tell Mom not to worry about the fact that I'm getting older --she's been worried since our friend Drummer just retired recently at age 10 after being with his partner for 8 years. And then I sprained a leg playing at the lake a few weeks ago. 3 days of rest, and I am good as new!
I keep telling Mom that I will let her know when I'm ready to retire. But I have no plans to quit anytime soon! Mom, we will be walking across the stage together when you graduate from college in May! And we'll have several years together after that! I will be your loyal helper and friend as long as I can! I may be middle-aged, but I'm not an old woman yet!
We went out to our college minister's property and I had so much fun! I swam in the lake and rolled in the mud. I stole the football from some friends who were playing. I got to run around like crazy! (see my new picture?)
Mom was a party pooper who stayed by the fire most of the time 'cause she said she was cold--ha! it was perfect weather for me!
