First Visit

Wow! Have I been a busy dog. I went all the way to Texas for a Rottweiler show and didn't win a thing. (Yasmin won 2nd place!)

Anyhoo, today mom and I went for our first probationary visit for the Visiting Pet Program. When we go to the nursing home, I was anxious to get started and get some smiles on some faces but we had to wait for the other dogs. (Mom got us there early!) So the other dogs arrived and I wasn't too thrilled with this. I mean, I though I was going to make people happy! Being a princess, I threw a little temper tantrum and mom had to carry me which neither one of us was thrilled about. As we started to make our rounds, I loosened up and got the hang of this whole pet therapy thing. I felt like a hundred people touched me!

Mom thought I would be stressed and sleep all day but instead I was ready to go!

Visit number two isn't until next month which will be a lot longer drive but I can't wait!

I'm a probie!

Today mom and I went for our training. I think I did pretty well!

I had my pictures taken by Aunt Paula and Aunt Terri last weekend of Sisters Pet Pics. Mom will have them next week and will be posting them for all the world to see!

Good news!

Mom just got an email saying that we have been accepted to the VPP! She has to go to a meeting next week. Then after three probationary visits, it's official!

Today was the big day for my evaluation for the Visiting Pet Program. Mom was so nervous which made me nervous. I don't know why she was nervous. Could this be harder that the CGC? As it turned out, it was kinda like the CGC except people were petting me and mom was at my side the whole time. I don't mean to sound cocky but I totally aced it! We won't know for a few days but I had to have passed it.

After we went to Grandma's where I hung out with Ruby, Grandma's dog while mom and Grandma went shopping.

I'm so pooped. Keep your paws crossed!

I'm a new dog!

Two days ago I went to a new groomer (FABULOUS!) and got all my hair cut off! I kinda look like Mr Winkle except, I'm a girl! Mom thought I was a stuffed animal the other night!

Monday, I go for my dental and will finally get microchipped. I sure hope that doesn't hurt! Then, two weeks from today, I go for my Visiting Pet Program evaluation.

Mom is also trying to get some new pics taken of me.

Next step - the groomer...

I went to the vet last week and I felt kinda yucky for a couple of days. Next week I go to the groomer. I can't wait to get my cute short cut again. Three more weeks til my evaluation!

Mom's Pre-Evaluation

Mom got to go to visit people in her human pre-evaluation visit. She really liked meeting the patients in the hospital and think I will do very well.

Well, I go to the vet in 2 days! YUCK! Oh well. It's a small price to pay to make a sick or elderly person happy.

Dodged a bullet!

Whew! Close call today. I was suppose to go to the vet today but cos daddy was sick, mom could only handle Yasmin. I do still have to go but it will be next week instead. That was a close call!
Mom gets to go observe a Visiting Pet visitation. Our buddy is a Pek-a-poo named Kaci. I wish I could go but the first visit is for humans only. :(
Soon, it will be my turn and I can't wait! :)

Pet Therapy Here I Come!

Wow! What a day! Today, mom scheduled my evaluation for the Visiting Pet Program so I can become a therapy dog! I'm so excited and there is so much to do before the big day. Monday, I have to go to the vet. Yuck! I love my vet. Dr. Greg is the best! I just hate the shots and when they take my temperature, I'm really not happy! Then I have a fashion show on Aug 18. I go to the groomer on August 23! I can't wait to get a hair cut. I'm just not pretty right now and I'm not happy when I'm not pretty. Then the big day - Sept 8 - my evaluation! It should be a piece of cake. I mean, I have my CGC and I LOVE people. At some point in my hectic schedule Mom's going to get my Aunt Paula and Aunt Terri to take some new pictures of me with short hair. Mom is so nervous. See, I was suppose to do this two years ago and Katrina hit and messed everything up. My eval is set for the same day as it was two years ago. Well, I think everything will be just fine!

The Fashion Show

I LOVE being a model. I had so much fun! I got to model a pretty pink sundress and a pink coat. Daddy was sick so, he stayed home. But my new friend Phoebe's mom and dad took pictures! It was a great day. I get to do it again in a month. I think the best part having mommy all to myself.

And today is my birthday! I'm 6 years old. Everyone at fashion show thought I was 6 MONTHS! Life is good!
