Arrival Story:
We drove 1 hour out to Iowa, to "just check out" some Bassett Puppies - and we fell in love with Sam the minute we saw him. He was tripping over his ears, but still managed to walk over to us and wag his little tail
Bio:
Sam loves meeting other people and dogs, especially at the dog park, but once he's done playing and greeting, he's off to follow the scents and track rabbits. He loves lounging on the couch, and sometimes he gets to sleep in bed with his humans and eat up half the space on the bed. He goes by Sam, Sammo, Samuel, Shammu and many other sillier names including Jumbo Jet, Mango and Bilimbi Bay

Spring has Sprung - A Bassett Poem
Misty rains,
wash away the
silently melting snow.
Damp wet mud,
squishy leaves,
a backyard full of p'oo.
Birds chirping,
Squirrels lurking,
Dogs being walked too.
Spring has Sprung
Surely as bells are rung,
To harken dawning days.
New Spring days
filled with sticks and twigs
and hours and hours to play.

While my parents were away in Delaware of all places, I hung out with my downtown friends over New Years.
The party was pretty happening, until the daycare people broke it up around 8pm - booo!
All in all though, it was pretty fun - I got to hang out with a couple of other Basset dudes, and bunch of my Pug, Beagle and Weimeraner buddies. We pretty much ran around all day, barked, chewed on our bones... you know.. the uzh.
There's some pictures of me at the day care that my parents took - apparently these guys have close circuit cameras running all the time! They need to rewrite some privacy laws or something.
