Arrival Story:
When I was about 7 my sisters and I found Patsy wandering in our street. we played with er all afternoon and nobody came looking for her. Mum told us to leave her and come inside but she followed. We called her Girlie, Mum said we had to find who she belonged to in the morning. The next day we did some door knocking and nobody knew who she belonged to. We begged Mum and Dad to keep her and they agreed, Dad had a dog named Patsy growing up and he thought girlie was silly so that is how she got her name. We later found out that her previous owners ahd gone on holidays and decided to leave her with their grandmother. The lady had dementia and did not remeber them leaving her with them. They came back several weeks later and asked for her but she was part of our family now and from her temprement it was clear she had been mistreated. My parents would not give her back and they did not fight for her.

Patsy was my first dog, she was my best friend. Patsy was very tempremental, she did not like stangers and had a really large bark for a small dog which would scare off the wrong people. People had to have her approval to enter the house. She was fiercly loyal and loved us all uncoditionally, she was strong and smart she was easy to train and would play with us kids for hours. I used to love taking her for walks and we spent alot of my teenage years together. She was always there when I needed company and I always felt safe when I had her by my side. Patsy had Cancer and in late 2000 she lost her battle she would have been about 15 years old when she died. I miss her to this day.
