My pups are HEROES!

Woah! Tonight I was on the computer at 11pm like the cool person I am, and all of a sudden I hear noise at the screen door. [We live in Florida where it's getting insanely hot, therefore all the doors are open.]

Up shot Lobo and Tankers. Someone was trying to break in, thinking we were all asleep due to the dark rooms and low TV volume. They barked like crazy, and Lobo slammed against the door , scaring the guy away!

From now on, doors are closed by 7:30pm, TV will be loud, and at least a small light is staying on!

Though Tank would defend me with his life, it sure is comforting having a big dog with an even bigger bark around the house.

New Sis

My new sis, Lobo, is pretty cool. She can be kinda weird, though. She came from the shelter with no potty training, so we have to go outside about a thousand times a day. When we do, she stares at me while I'm... well... doing what dogs do outside. My pawrent says she's just trying to learn the ropes, but it's still really creepy.

Other than that, things are going GREAT! She's really calm for a big dog. When we play, Lobz is always nice and gentle. If she ever does get too rough, I let out a yelp and she'll back off a bit.

The other day she went with my pawrent to Vet Tech and went over the Agility field. When she got back home, she was completely exhausted, though she didn't go for very long. I tried to bark at her to get her to play, but she just wanted to sleep. Not even when I jumped up on top of her and bit those Basenji ears! She didn't care. Soooooooooo mellow.

Anyhow, bark me some mail!

Today I mastered the Agility See-Saw! Used to hate that thing, but now I have no problem with it. :D

Also, while out on a walk, I Heeled the whole way, and when we saw someone, I kept on Heeling until I was given the "Okay." My pawrent is so proud of me! I am, too.

1. My Birthday was on Saturday!

2. Everyone thinks I'm a terrier because of my thick, coarse hair. It's the antiallergenic kind, which we thought I got from my daddy, but it isn't very soft like a Shih Tzu's. Could it be ever-growing like my daddy's, but rougher, like my mommy's? Even hers is softer than mine. Though we knew both my doggy pawrents, my human pawrent would like to get a DNA test done to see where it came from.

3. Yogurt is one of my favorite foods.

4. I used to be afraid of little kids since we don't have any in the neighborhood, but now I love them!

5. Believe it or not, I don't like Kongs.

A big TANKS to everyone who mailed me to say Congrats! (Along with the Guestbook people, I LOVE people signing my GB!) It makes both me and my pawrent very happy to see so many caring Dogsters. I have no Rosettes to offer, but I'll try to make the rounds to all my new (and old) pals to give a few bones and read pages.

Praise the Lord, I am HEELED!

I finally got the hang of that "Heel" thing. I've always been good with loose leash walking, but it finally clicked in my head that standing next to my person instead of all over the place is the best way to stay out of trouble. Cool, huh? I actually went for a whole walk today NEXT to my pawrent! Whoo... Hard work being this smart!

Hurray for Maxxy!

My pawrent told me that our ex-temporary-foster, Maxxy, is getting adopted! His pawrents' names will be Judy and Brad. Way to go, Max-A-Million!

Oh noes! Maxxy!

My little buddy, Maxxy, went back home today. He still needs a furever home, but his original fosters are keeping him until he gets one. I'll miss the little guy... Even though he ate my food and kept growling at me whenever I was within a ten foot radius. Oh well. He had such soft paws... Never even felt any claws when he whacked me.

...It's okay though. Still got my family of two twolegs and four longtails... and Twoey! He's the outside cat that likes to play with me. My pawrent's sick with a cold, though. :( No need to fear! SUPERTANK IS HERE! With his remarkable healing kisses, no one is left feeling blue! *ZHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!*
