Birthday:
February 12th 2004

Likes:
Playing with friends at the Dog park, dinner time, and having my forearms rubbed

Pet-Peeves:
Baths (they remove all the great smells off of me!), carrots, being neutered, and leashes.

Favorite Toy:
My dirty stuffed rat and a Winnie-the-Pooh baby toy. I also like to suck on them when I start to get sleepy.

Favorite Food:
Garlic hotdog pieces, squeeze cheese, turkey pepperoni, and the delicious salmon treats that mom bakes for me (they make my eyes cross they are so good!)

Favorite Walk:
I love to run off-leash...this only happens at the dogpark and when camping in the woods

Best Tricks:
Getting mom a tissue when she sneezes and shutting doors for her. I also sit pretty, shake, spin, play dead, carry a basket, and use my nose and front feet in a variety of ways.

Arrival Story:
I started out in a home in Tennesse and lived with lots of dogs. I was surrendered to a small shelter and lived there for 3 months. I was transferred to a shelter in Milwaukee in Feb 2005 where I was adopted by my current home. I love it here, I get to do cool stuff every day and sleep in an awesome bed every night. I do not live with playmates but have several that I go visit.

Bio:
I was very fearful when I first came home. I would not take treats, make eye contact, and hid all the time for the first week here. Mom has done lots of training over the past two years with me to try to get me to gain some confidence. I have done agility and helped her in her dog training classes so I can show the other dogs how to do the tricks correctly. I also help her work with aggressive dogs, because sometimes she needs a calm dog to help the other dog get over thier fears. Sometimes I get really bored during those sessions and start to fantasize about chicken nuggets to pass the time. I am very playful and love going to several different dog parks in the Milwaukee area. I have the most fun with the less intimidating dogs, usually smaller breeds or young dogs. Bullying just isn't cool.

Mom just got back from helping out with the dog sledding races in the UP Michigan. She is real sore and tired which is good cuz I get to sleep longer with her today. While she was gone I stayed with my pack. It was fun, the little one is a little annoying, she keeps pulling on my legs and my leash, but I get her back by humping her. I think she might like it though, I am not really sure when a girl likes me or not. Anyway, it was awesome cuz we got to go swimming in a dog pool and everything. I love it there. Anyway, I am trying to enjoy the cold weather but I will like it when it is a little bit warmer cuz Mom takes me out more. I turn 3 this month so maybe we will do something fun. Take care all,
Brodhi

Here we go... another holiday. Last year it was reindeer antlers, this year it is an elf hat. I wear them because it makes her happy. Humans laugh at our expense. It's ok though because I get lots of yummy treats and some really cool attention when I am wearing this ridiculous hat. It's ok though. It is just part of this cultural thing that humans do….sort of like butt sniffing for me. Life just wouldn’t be the same if I had to stop doing it. December brings travel, good food, lots of new experiences and new friends. Especially now that mom is around all the time. She used to be gone very long hours and then even when she was home she just wasn’t any fun. Now she rocks!! We play more, eat more, snuggle lots more, and go to the park where and I can make new friends. Dad is gone more regular than before, but he is still around a whole lot. We do a lot more as a "pack" than ever before and I am very pleased about that. I am a very lucky dog!
Paws out,
Brodhi
