Arrival Story:
Meg and I had a wild first day together. Her litter was at a rescue shelter 4 hours away from where I lived. I found her on petfinder.com and I set out at 8am to go get her during one of the worst storms of the year. After fighting the wind and dodging trees I arrived at the shelter to find that their power was out due to a large tree falling on their power lines. The puppies were all black and in a back room. 5 had already been spoken for. There were two left to choose from and they found Meg first and plopped her in my arms and then took off to look for the other puppy. Meg curled up and fell asleep in my arms. When they finally found the other puppy and brought her out I said that Meg had already made her choice and I agreed with her. So that is how we found each other. We then had to drive home in the horrible storm and it took another 4 hours. By the time we arrived home we were both beat.

Bio:
Being a rescue dog Meg has had some medical issues that I have had to resolve through diet. She has aslo had some behavioral issues that we continue to work on every day. But at four years old I do think her health has stabalized and she is happy and content with her life. She comes to work with me every day and she loves it. She gets a lot of wonderful attention from everyone and I think she gives as much love as she recieves to my customers.

It's been months!

Hi Diary! It's been months since I have written. It has been a tough year. My left leg healed nicely after surgery. Mom was diligent and didn't let me do anything fun for 6 whole months. Except swim. Everything was going great and we were doing so well... then my other knee tore. So I am back to being an invalid again. BORING! This time mom wants to see if we can't fix my leg with a brace. I hate it. It itches and it is constricting. She is not too sure it is working either. She has been very busy lately so we are just going to wait and see. I hope I don't have to have another surgery but I might.

Mom's been practicing animal communication. She really likes it. It's fun because I feel like she can hear me now. Not that well, but she is getting better.

Well, I am off to sleep some more. When did I get to be so old? I am middle aged, not a senoir. I can't wait until I am all healed and we can go on a long walk again. 2009 blows...

So I haven't written lately because I haven't been feeling too good. I hurt my knee after the holidays and I've been laid up since. I had to have surgery and everything. It was very scary. I started swim a few weeks ago and I am feeling so much better. Mom is going to put up a picture of my surgery and video of swim therapy...

It's been a loooooong time since I have barked at you diary! We've been so busy though. Agility has really taken off and I LOVE it! We've been going to trials on the weekends to get a feel for the sport and we go to class faithfully every Wendesday. Mom is going to enroll me in some funmatches so I get used to running around in front of a crowd. It's been a blast!

We went to the beach again which was the highlight of my spring but mom forgot the camera. We just did a really long hike the other weekend up to a ghost town. Mom wishes we could do more fun stuff but we are so busy. We are going camping this weekend though! I am soooo excited! I can't wait!
