Not really tricks but she will sit, down, stay, heel, come. She does what she is told extremely well.

Arrival Story:
Jewely was placed in the overnight cage at SB animal control by her previous owner. No name was listed but her birthday and the fact she was good with kids was on the paperwork. A foster lady took care of her for a few days and thought about taking her to GSD rescue in Burbank. I PTS my old GSD the month before but wasn't sure I wanted another dog so soon. I found out about Jewely thru mutual acquaintances and agreed to see her...I wasn't impressed but told Jeannine I would take her. She only weighed 60 lbs., was 10 mo. old, her coat was dry and course, ribs and backbone were visible. She has become the greatest dog and I love her dearly. She and I finished dog obed. class and got 1st place. I feel that my late GSD, Z-Lu("Z") sent her to me. At first we had an issue with my two indoor cats but now we're one big happy family.

Bio:
Jewely loves to play fetch with her favorite pal Ouzo, a LabX at dog park. Sometimes there aren't any dogs at the park so we play fetch. She is obsessed with tennis balls and loves to chase them. She has learned to bring them back and drop them...that took awhile before she got the idea. Jewely now has her ILP registration thru the AKC. Her registered name is "Z-Lu's Jewel" in memory of my late GSD, "Z". Now she'll be eligble to compete in certain AKC events.. Jewely is now learning agility..we go once a week and she really enjoys it. Without a bit of coaxing she went thru the tunnel. She loves to jump the jumps too. We don't go to dog parks very much anymore. We have a new place to play fetch...5 acres, fenced at a friend's house. I can really throw the ball much farther with my Chuck-it. We go play most everyday and Jewely really gets a lot of exercise chasing and retrieving the ball. She was born 12-23-03, still a youngster.
