Arrival Story: Arizona Night was born the runt of a sable and merle litter. The last of the 7 puppies born, I brought him from an amazing breeder, Judi. I had found her page online, after deciding to get a Sheltie, and we talked for some time. I fell in love with the pictures she sent, and before long, we were off to get my puppy. He was such a tiny thing; wrapped in a blanket, he fit almost, in the palm of my hand, much like my cat, Cuddles, had when she was a kitten. He was slightly weary, instinct telling him things would change, but he gave me sweet kisses, and blinked those gorgous hazely mix of green and brown and gold eyes at me. As he slept in my arms, I watched him, his breath on my neck, and I completely fell in love.
Arizona's a sable merle; his coat is a sandy color, with black markings near his tail, and random patches at his sides. He has a white chest, which extends into a blaze on his forehead, and stretches over his head, to form a thick white collar around his neck. His 2 front paws are white socks, and his 2 backs are partial white socks. His ears are his merle coloring- a tint of gray and blue, with black freckles across them both.
Bio: Though no one else in his family seems to be sick, almost a year ago, Arizona was diagnosed with kidney failure; after avoiding the topic for a good amount of time, we're going to take him to another vet for a second opinion.

I've Been On Dogster Since:
So, granbdma started letting me sleep with mommy, iun her bed again. When I looked at mommy, she shrugged, as said grammie was finally acting her age.
We went top the doctor's again, and we got the results back for Sam. Our neighbor had gone in to see him a week or so back, and his dog had the same symptoms sam had- except sometime towards the end of last week, the owner found his doggie dead. =[ Apparently, he'd gotten into chocolaste.
And to our surprise, mommy found countless half-eaten M&M's in grammie's room- grammie had thought they were from grampie. At least we know what got Sam sick. ALso, the stuff arouynd his eyes, the vet said he's got alliergies- or it might be the enviornment, cuz he weasn't like that before, apparently.
I got to play with Henry today. It was sooooo much funnn!!! And this time, Henry didn't even ball me over, like he usually does! (Henry's big-17 lbs, compared to my 14) It was a lot of fun. Sam didnt want to play. Sam's turning into an old fart.
Hahahaha, he wasn't too happy when he got yelled at for peeing on the rug. Especially since I did it first, and I didnt get caught. Mom gave me a dirty look- i think she suspects it...
It's me, Zona. Sammy's doing lots better-thank you, God. He's still making funny noises, but the head-bobbing thing has stopped. Mom's real happy.
As for me? Im waiting for Christmas. I asked mommy for a new stuffed animal- Sam stole my elephant with the dangly legs of rope.
Not a lot's going on around here. Mom and her parents are going to South Carolina for a few days, after Christmas- i dunno why. I know grammie wants to move, but I think mommy's considering living down there. I dont know why so far, though- I like it up here. I love the snow! Its fun to jump in.
Mommy took a picture of me jumping down into a snow pile our neighbor made from shovling the driveway- i completely dissapeared! It was so much fun. I love trying to catch falling snowflakes on my tongue. Sam just barks at me. He doesnt think i should do that, but im the alpha of the family, even though im the youngest.
All for now. Henry meows his hello.
Until next time; the Zone-anator
I'm a good boy; I have nothing to complain about- except, Im sad for my mommy. She's been so sad lately. Last night, she and grammie took my big brother way reeeally late- it woke me up! I tried to go with them, but they wouldnt let me. They said I had to stay. Mommy said stay... and I did. I lied down, and stayed, until they all got back, a few hours later. Sammy was still doing that funny thing with his head, that makes him look like a chicken. No more food came out of his mouth though. His tummy was making funny noises all night- mommy let me sleep with her, even though i like to lay on her chest, and it bothers her allergies a little.
Im stuck in the house, now. Mommy wont let me anywhere near Sammy- im so bored! Mommy said we had to have a big talk about my other big brother, Henry. I dunno why- I like Henry. he drinks out of the toilet- i think its funny, even if i dont like doing it. I wonder where Cuddles went? She hasent been around for a while.
