Arrival Story: We lost our sweet little boy 3/12/2009 at 5:15pm. He fell asleep in our arms. Pixel was so loved and returned 150% love back. His poor little pancrease just gave up and he developed Cushings Diease. We tried to help him and he was so brave to the very end. We loved him so much and he brough so much joy and laughter and happiness to us. We will always remember you and miss you so much little Pixie. Thank you for coming to us and making us happy. GOOD BYE LITTLE ANGEL
Bio: Pixel is an adult rescue. Pixel is diabetic (insulin 2 daily) and was not finding a home when his person was ready to leave the country. We took him in for an elderly relative and she was not able to read his insulin syring. It only took me about an hour to decide that I was going to keep this little guy. He is adorable and has a personality to match his sweet face. He plays and is active and I can't believe he has health issues. He acts and looks like a puppy and always happy to love and play.
Pixel is diabetic, and came to us with cateracts. Pixel totally lost all sight in March. Since then he has had his cateracts removed. Pixel turns 8 years old on April 29 and he is in 7th heaven with his vision back. He had a lens inplant in one eye, so now he can see far and near. Pixie has also had to have extensive dental work done. His back molers on one side had exposed nerves and the vet felt he has been suffering server pain over the last couple of years. We had 7 extractions done and he seems to be very content and happy. This also has had an effect on his insulin levels and is taking less insulin.
This little sweetie is a joy and a wonderful faithful friend. WE LOVE HIM and will keep him healthy and happy.
