THANK YOU DOGSTER SCHNAUZERS

We have been very busy at our house. Mom has been working hard trying to keep all three of us clipped really short cause it has been so hot. We all hate the heat. Seems like Mom bathes, clips and trims our nails each week and for 3 that means on week 4 it's my turn again.....OH WELL
We have been getting along very well with Pixel. Now that he can see we have all been playing together and Pixel is not getting all the attention like he did at first. Mom is letting me sleep next to her again.....Pixel was always getting their first but now he sleeps at the foot of the bed.
Pixel had his final eye doctor appointment in Spokane the last of June. They said his eye sight is better than normal cause he has his new lens in one eye. Mom and Dad are so happy he is ok.
We are all back to normal now and all doing well. Thank you to everyone with the well wishes when Pixel was so sick and you all helped Mom cope with the stress. We love our dogster family.

SPACE SCHNAUZER

Well I guess it's time to update the folks on whats been happening at the Smouse house. It' s all about Pixel again....but thats ok.
Pixel went totally blind last month, he was running into things and couldn't find the food dish, he even fell off the porch last week. I guess I feel sorry for him cause my Mom cried when he hurt his leg after he fell.
Mom and Dad had the vet come and she said to take him to Seattle to an eye specialist, since he is only 7 years old and very young to be blind. Mom and Dad took him to the eye doctor and Mom came home and cried. It will be $5000 to fix Pixels eyes......Mom said she just couldn't do it. She cried and cried.......she asked for help from Pixel's previous owner and was not able to get any help with finances........People told my Mom to put Pixel "to sleep"! I thought that was weird....Me, Teddy and Pixel all like to sleep......what do they mean, put him to sleep???? I don't understand what that means...
Anyway, Mom started calling around looking for different eye doctors for Pixel. She talked and talked and called everywhere. She finally found a doctor that would operate on Pixels eyes for 1/2 of the cost.
Well Pixel, when away with Dad for several days, and came home and he can see! He can really see. Doctor said he has not been able to see anything but shadows for a long time and he fixed his eyes.
I will admit that he looks like a DORK, cause he has to wear a big cone thing on his head but he can see now. He stares at the TV and the lights and he is not so grumpy now cause he can see me and Teddy.
So we are doing well now, and Pixel is not so bad to have around now that he can see and tell me how PRETTY I AM!

Pixel the Pest

Hi everyone,
Well it seems PIXEL has gotten all the attention lately.
So I thought I would show Mom and Dad what I think about that; I actually dug a hole in Moms flower bed! I was really after one of those little green frogs, but Mom started paying attention to me after I dug the hole so I'm sticking to the "poor little neglected girl" story.
I have been patient with the boys lately since I noticed that Pixel has been kinda sick lately. The vet came and said his blood sugar was to high and they gave him lots of shots and he would not play with brother for a long time. Now Pixel is running into things, Mom says "Oh poor little thing, he is going blind" so she picks him up and carrys him. "She used to carry me"!
Mom says that we need to be nice to Pixel, he is confused and doesn't understand why he can't see, in the morning when Pixel can't seem to see to go outside I help him and nudge him in the right direction and wait for him to come down the steps....I guess that makes Mom happy,. I'm trying to be nice, but it is very hard. I still think Pixel is a Pest!
