Arrival Story:
We had lived in a college town for several years and it was very anti-animals (no landlord would let people have any pets). When we found out we were finally going to get a home we decided to buy a hedgehob. The lady happened to be the unofficial rescue lady in the area and had several animals that people had just abandoned at her home. We ended up rescuing a cat and Maisy. Maisy had been with the rescue lady quite awhile and had a serious case of separation anxiety. She had actually jumped through a glass door trying to get to a person so she wouldn't be alone. We had to work with her very hard to help her get over the separation anxiety (she still has major anxiety attacks during thunderstorms). She became instantly attached to my husband even though I was the treat lady who visited her daily for two weeks before we could actually take her home.
