Arrival Story:
Sushi's former owner used to leave her tied in the backyard. A neighbor witnessed the owner's boyfriend beating Sushi. After they moved, they abandoned Sushi and left her tied in the backyard for two days before the neighbor rescued her and turned her over to Best Friends Animal Shelter in Kanab, Utah. While she was staying at Best Friends, a pit bull jumped a fence and attacked Sushi. She was within an inch of her life. We were told when they found her, her jugular vein was exposed in her neck. After surgery and rehabilitation, Sushi was fostered by a family in Las Vegas, until we adopted her and made her ours!
