Arrival Story:
I spent Christmas 2005 with my family and my brother's dog Reagan (he's our first pup pal!). Dec 26 I decided I had to have another dog (lost my last one 3 months prior). I went to the Humane Society on the 26th but didn't see a dog that "fit" me. I went to work on the 27th, checked their website, and found Molly. I showed my boss her picture and told him I had to leave to go get her. Luckily I had a very understanding boss, and luckily she was still there - someone had turned her in the night before (I have no idea why - she is perfect!), and it took about 1/2 second with her to know I wanted her! The rest, as they say, is history.

Bio:
Not really biographical, but my plan for Molly is to get her trained to be a pet therapy dog. She's 2 now, and still very "puppy hyper" at times, so I think I will wait a year or so before taking on this task! I recently took her out to a Christmas event in downtown Fort Lauderdale and she was fantastic - she let everyone pet her, she walk calmly through the crowds, and sniffed everything - I was so proud!

Forums Motto:
Molly - the social butterfly!

Uh Oh....feathers everywhere!

Oops....so, apparently that big yellow pillow had a LOT of feathers in it! I hope my Mom knows that it wasn't me! Now, I am not going to be a tattle tale or anything, but Armani, the big dog in the picture, was the one that did it. And I think at one point I looked and he and Rocket were pulling the pillow apart. I can't tell if it is all a blur because I don't remember or if it was because there were so many darned feathers flying everywhere. Boy, you should've seen Mom when she got home! We heard this big THUMP...that was her jaw hitting the ground. Then she started laughing to hard, we didn't know what to do, so we started running around in the feathers! I had a REALLY hard time trying to find a squeaky toy to greet her with - they were all buried under feathers! And I am lost without a squeaky in my mouth! Mom kinda stood there shaking her head. She called on her phoney thing and told someone else, and laughed the whole time. So, I know we (ok, Armani and Rocket) ruined her nice pillow, but she wasn't too mad. Then she disappeared into the garage and came back with this big fan thing on a stick. She tried to clean everything up, and was laughing and saying she couldn't believe she had to rake her living room. Huh, so that was a rake. After she was done, we all got ice cream, so it wasn't such a bad day after all. We didn't really learn any lesson (the deed had already been done) but we haven't ripped apart any pillows since then. That Armani, he was a good-lookin' guy but man he was trouble! Luckily he found his forever home and was adopted pretty quick (My Mom said she warned them about his love of all things destructible).

Big Bear Trick!

I learned a new trick a while ago, and Mom finally got a halfway decent picture of me doing it! Look at the picture with me sitting on my back butt, with my paws in the air. That is Big Bear! GGGRRRR I am a big bear! Best part is I get treats every time I do it! Sometimes Mom says "high five" or "down" or "paw" and when I am not sure what trick she wants, I run through a bunch of them, but I always end with Big Bear because I know I always get a treat for doing that! Mmmmm....trick AND treat!

Foster Friends

We have been so busy with fostering dogs over the last few months....! Right now we share a home with Ellie, the most amazing pit bull we have ever met. We call her the Pit Bull Ambassador. She is absolutely amazing! We are hoping she finds a home soon so we can foster someone else (and so mom's shoes are safe - she likes to chew on shoes). We just added a picture of us waiting for treats. Check us out!
