My husband lost his border collie last year (April 2003). Near his birthday in January, he kept talking about how I & our daughter each had a dog & he didn't. So, I went on rescue websites trying to find another border collie. I had found one but, she had a home by the time I called. So, I tried again and found Jake. He was deaf & partially blind & extremely cute!!! So, I talked him into driving 60 miles to get this dog. Upon arriving at Partner's for Pets, my husband told me not to get my heart set on Jake, he might want another dog. Well, when my husband went in the back yard & this large puppy (who was running all over the place) jumped up on my husband, sat down with him & cuddled, he melted and told me to sign the papers!!!! So, Jake a 9 month old Great Dane went home with us!
Bio:
Jake is a Merle/Harlequin Great Dane who has disabilities. He is 90% deaf and about 60% blind. I'm sure he is the product of someone who does not understand how to breed dogs. He is loving, cuddly & smart! We are in the process of touch training him in obediance & he learns quickly!!!
