kong...the ONLY toy that she will play with!

merrick's grammy's pot pie

Favorite Walk:
she prefers running in her yard. she can be a canine snob at times. Well not really a snob, she just prefers to watch what the humans are doing. And when it comes to walking, she just wants to hold her sister's leash and get everyone tangled up.

Best Tricks:
she feels that doing tricks is beneath her...she prefers to boss around everyone in the house.

My surgery...

Ok...I'll admit it. I am starting to feel much better. Just don't tell Mommy that. Since I've had my surgery, I've been extra spoiled! So has Maggie Mae. Mommy doesn't like to leave one of us out of anything, so we are both making out like cookie bandits. Everytime I get my stitches cleaned, we get a cookie. Plus...if I give Mommy my pathetic look, and a few barks, we get a cookie. Although, she is starting to catch on to that trick. Yesterday she had the nerve to tell me that she could only give me extra love, and not a cookie. Something about me losing my girlish figure. Having a Mommy on Weight Watchers is no fun. She's turning into the food police. Daddy told me that she wouldn't even let him get any of his oreo's at the market. I have to go on Thursday to get my stitches out. I can't wait for is really starting to itch. We are still waiting to find out from the doc exactly what the tumor was. I know that Mommy will be very happy once she finds out exactly what we are dealing with.

Oh boy am I peeved today...

Mommy and I have our own morning that only gets disrupted by the mean Daddy that Mommy had to bring into my house! At 7 am, Mommy always comes to say good morning to me ( I am so not a morning girl!). She gives me tummy rubs and kisses. The only thing better than that is when Mommy doesn't have to go to work, and I can snuggle in bed with her. But this awful it was! Daddy had to leave early for work, so Mommy had to take the train. She woke me up at 6 am. Who wants to be up that early?! Certainly not me. I need my beauty sleep. I gave Mom some good growls and a flash of my pearly whites to voice my displeasure at the disruption in my routine. I like to be able to get up, go outside, and have breakfast. Getting up at 6 really stinks, because that means that I still have to wait until 7:30 for my breakfast. I know that Mom felt guilty about what she had to do...she gave me an extra big cookie before she left for work, but it still didn't totally make up for getting out of bed so early. Mommy thought that she was being funny when she told me that I could just take an extra nap during the day. She doesn't realize what hard work guarding Grandma and the house is. It takes a lot of energy to terrorize the mailman! Maybe I'll give her a few extra kisses when she gets home...that is if she gives me a good treat!

Yippee! A really BIG box arrived today from Three Dog Bakery...We just know that it's Christmas yummies for us. Mommy also got some food to donate to the animal shelter. She always reminds us that we are very fortunate to have a good home to live in. When I'm really really bad, she threatens to send me to live in the pound for a week so that I will appreciate how lucky I am. I know that she would never really do that because she would miss me too much. Whenever Mommy goes away, she always calls to talk to us girls. And she always leaves us extra special treats. I'm getting scared though because Mom and Grandma have been telling me that they are going to be going away for 8 days, and that we will have to be good big girls for Daddy and Uncle Keith. The most that Mommy has ever left me for is two days...I'm not very happy about this cruise that they're going on. I'll have to see if I can be a stow away!
