Arrival Story:
We were empty-nesters and not looking to get a dog. We met a Miniature Schnauzer named Moses, and he was a sweetheart. We were hooked on the breed from that moment. We started researching and found a breeder nearby. Three months later, we had Casey (Sitzmark's Captain Casey). He was the smartest, sweetest, most loving boy! He had a huge vocabulary and did so many tricks. Our lives were changed completely and I know that we are better people because he loved us!
We lost him July 24th. Casey had a very aggressive bleeding tumor. By the time he had any symptoms, it was too late to do anything. The vet said that dogs are very stoic, and you just don't realize they are so sick. The odds were so stacked against him even surviving surgery, and we could only have bought him a few more weeks. He crossed over the rainbow bridge in our arms, hearing about what a good, sweet, and wonderful boy he is. There is a huge hole in our hearts.
