Arrival Story:
After losing our first border collie, Star, almost two years ago, our family decided that it was time to add a new member. My parents and I (its just mom, dad, and I) started checking websites for shelters and breeders, visiting local animal control offices in search of of border collie who someone might have "given up on." We found a great breeder after almost a year of looking, and I saw a really great pup on their page and let my parents know - they said they thought she was cute, but not the right dog. I'm in college (2.5 hrs away) and not home much but I do call every day. I came home at Easter (April 14, I think) and when I walked into our house a tiny little ball of black and white fuzz came barreling at me! My parent had HID the fact that they had a brand new, tiny puppy for TWO WEEKS! This was a great suprise, and was extra special because I helped pick her out - when we got our first bc, I was about 7 years old and too young to help. Skye and I are inseperable when I am home (which is now more often) and I am so glad she is part of our family!
