I am the happiest girldog in all of Rainbow bridge. I married the luv of my life this morning and I am so thrilled to be Mrs. Garrett Taylor.

We had the most beautiful of weddings and then a wonderfur receptions with all of your furmily and some furiends who were able to attend. The banquet hall was so beautiful and I will never furget how handsome my Garrett looked as I walked down the isle toward him to become his bride.

Now he has whisked me away to a Chalet in the Swiss Alps. We will have to tell you all about it when we return from our honeymoon.

Gotta go back to my Gargar now! Toodles! ~ Sweet Sadie

Halloween Magic for me and my wuv.

Lets have a magical halloween
One made special for you and I
The brightest silvery moon aglow
Bright stars twinkling in the sky

One treat after another to share
Sharing our Halloween in style
Surrounded with spicy candles
Jack OLantern wearing a smile

We'll await till the darkness falls
A moonlit floor to dance upon
On the night seductively inviting
Beneath every star that shone

Both dressed for this occasion
Embraced as stars shine down
You in your black velvet tuxedo
Me in my soft red velvet gown

In magical spells of Halloween
All staged romantically for two
Spending the night in your arms
Both tasting love potions brew

This beautiful poem was sent to me from my darling Gargar.

*Blows kisses on the wind for him*

The Rescuer

Rainbow Bridge Rescuer

Unlike most days at Rainbow Bridge, this day dawned cold and gray, damp as a swamp and as dismal as could be imagined. All of the recent arrivals had no idea what to think, as they had never experienced a day like this before. But, the animals who had been waiting for their beloved people knew exactly what was going on and started to gather at the pathway leading to The Rainbow Bridge to watch.

It wasn't long before an elderly animal came into view, head hung low and tail dragging. The other animals, the ones who had been there for while, knew what his story was right away, for they had seen this happen far too often. He approached slowly, obviously in great emotional pain, but with no sign of injury or illness. Unlike all of the other animals waiting at The Bridge, this animal had not been restored to youth and made healthy and vigorous again. As he walked toward The Rainbow Bridge, he watched all of the other animals watching him. He knew he was out of place here and the sooner he could cross over, the happier he would be. But alas, as he approached The Bridge, his way was barred by the appearance of an Angel who apologized, but told him that he would not be able to pass. Only those animals who were with their people could pass over The Rainbow Bridge.

With no place else to turn to, the elderly animal turned towards the fields before The Bridge and saw a group of other animals like himself, also elderly and infirm. They weren't playing, but rather simply lying on the green grass, forlornly staring out at the pathway leading to The Bridge. And so, he took his place among them, watching the pathway and waiting.

One of the newest arrivals at The Bridge didn't understand what he had just witnessed and asked one of the animals that had been there for a while to explain it to him.

"You see, that poor animal was a rescue. He was turned in to rescue just as you see him now, an older animal with his fur graying and his eyes clouding. He never made it out of rescue and passed on with only the love of his rescuer to comfort him as he left his earthly existence. Because he had no family to give his love to, he has no one to escort him across The Bridge."

The first animal thought about this for a minute and then asked, "So what will happen now?" As he was about to receive his answer, the clouds suddenly parted and the gloom lifted. Approaching The Bridge could be seen a single person and among the older animals, a whole group was suddenly bathed in a golden light and they were all young and healthy again, just as they were in the prime of life. "Watch, and see", said the second animal. A second group of animals from those waiting came to the pathway and bowed low as the person neared. At each bowed head, the person offered a pat on the head or a scratch behind the ears. The newly restored animals fell into line and followed him towards The Bridge. They all crossed The Bridge together.

"What happened?" asked the first animal. "That was a rescuer." replied the second. "The animals you saw bowing in respect were those who found new homes because of his work. They will cross when their new families arrive. Those you saw restored were those who never found homes. When a rescuer arrives, they are allowed to perform one, final act of rescue. They are allowed to escort those poor animals that they couldn't place on earth, across The Rainbow Bridge.

"I think I like rescuer's", said the first animal.

"So does GOD", was the reply.

I Remember......

I stood by your bed last night, I came to have a peep.
I could see that you were crying. You found it hard to sleep.

I whined to you softly as you brushed away a tear,
"It's me, I haven't left you, I'm well, I'm fine, I'm here."

I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour the tea,
You were thinking of the many times your hands reached down to me.

I was with you at the shops today. Your arms were getting sore.
I longed to take your parcels, I wish I could do more.

I was with you at my grave today, You tend it with such care.
I want to re-assure you, that I'm not lying there.

I walked with you towards the house, as you fumbled for your key.
I gently put my paw on you, I smiled and said "It's me."

You looked so very tired, and sank into a chair.
I tried so hard to let you know, that I was standing there.

It's possible for me to be so near you everyday.
To say to you with certainty, "I never went away."

You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew...
in the stillness of that evening, I was very close to you.

The day is over... I smile and watch you yawning
and say "Good-night, God bless, I'll see you in the morning."

And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide,
I'll rush across to greet you and we'll stand, side by side.

I have so many things to show you, there is so much for you to see.
Be patient, live your journey out... then come home to be with me.

A Song from my Garrett

For My Lady by Moody Blues

My boat sails stormy seas
Battles oceans filled with tears
At last my ports in view
Now that Ive discovered you

Oh Id give my life so lightly
For my gentle lady
Give it freely and completely
To my lady

As life goes drifting by
Like a breeze shell gently sigh
And slowly bow her head
Then youll hear her softly cry.

Oh Id give my life so lightly
For my gentle lady
Give it freely and completely
To my lady

Words that you say when were alone
Though actions speak louder than words
But all I can say is I love you so
To drive away all my hurt

Oh Id give my life so lightly
For my gentle lady
Give it freely and completely
To my lady

Set sail before the sun
Feel the warmth thats just begun
Share each and every dream
They belong to everyone.

Oh Id give my life so lightly
For my gentle lady
Give it freely and completely
To my lady

Thank you my love what a beautiful song you have chosen for us. I love you dearly my Gargar. ~ Gentle Kisses from Sweet Sadie

My Gift to Jesus

I wish someone had given little Jesus a dog
as loyal and loving as mine
to sleep by His manger and gaze in His eyes
and adore Him for being devine.

As our Lord grew to manhood, His own faithful dog
would have followed Him through the day
while He preached to the crowds and made the sick well
and knelt in the Garden to pray.

It is sad to remember that Christ went away
to face death alone and apart
with no tender dog following behind
to comfort its Master's heart.

And when Jesus rose that Easter morn,
how happy He would have been
as His dog kissed His hand and barked it's delight
for the One who died for all men!

Well, the Lord has a dog now: I just sent Him mine,
the old pal so dear to me,
And I smile through my tears on this first day alone,
knowing they're in eternity

I have been watching you from Rainbow Bridge and I know you and daddy are still sad that I had to leave. It is good to see that you have not forgotten about me. I see my photo in the corner shelf in your bedroom and the pretty picture they made when I went to the groomer. I love you guys and I hope this Holiday Season has been a good one for you.

Kisses & furry hugs,
Sweet Sadie
