Rocky has learned to love walks. He gets as excited as any dog has ever been to go on a walk.

Arrival Story:
We got Rocky from the Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue after Red, our part RR pound puppy died of Kidney Failure. He came to us a very skittish boy, and we weren't sure he'd meld w/ our family and our stoopid chocolate lab, but with patience and perseverance he became one of the family and is now devoted to all of us and hates leaving the house with a leash on. He will even escape out the back gate just to come in the front door. Update 11/09. Rocky has changed his mind about walks. He's finally figured out we will keep him and walking is now his favorite activity right after laying on anything soft with a pillow. He and I are BOTH much more fit now.
Bio:
Red, our first RR was an amazing dog who taught us how to be good doggy parents. He was a big boy who loved everyone he ever met and thought all dogs were put on the planet to play with him. After we lost him we decided to get another RR from rescue and have never regretted it even though Rocky is very different, he's still so sweet and loving. We'll always miss Red, but we know that somewhere his indominatable spirit lives on.
