Arrival Story: In 2003, when our last german shepherd, Katie, died of cancer, the owner of the kennel Katie used to go to phoned us to tell us that one of the dogs she had bred needed a home. Atlas was six, and his parents had gotten divorced, and neither side could take him.
Bio: Atlas had a rough puppyhood, and was very aggressive when we got him. He never used to wag his tail, or even lick us. Now, he meets new people without any trouble (except a lot of barking...) and he is very affectionate towards us. He still doesn't wag his tail, but he will lick us duing particularly tender moments, and doesn't lean away if we get close. Even his eyes have changed - the hard, emotionless look is gone, replaced by softer, more caring eyes.

I've Been On Dogster Since:
You know what sucks? When Luke is chewing on a bully stick, and I'm chewing on a bully stick, and his is about a foot longer than mine. It only takes him about a year to get through one of those things. I think I should get the long ones and he can have my old ones. Spoiled brat.
Yeah, he's kinda fun to play with, and ever since we got him I've been getting better food and stuff, and, ok, he's really cute, but he already gets to play with my good ball, and all my sticks, and sleep on my bed, and thats enough!! Man, I love those chewies. I don't know how much longer Luke is going to be at my house for, but I hope he goes soon so I don't have to share my bully sticks.
