Arrival Story:
My husband and I joined a rescue in Northern VA to foster dogs. November 10, 2006 we got a call around 9:45 pm. to either foster a poodle or a pug that is coming from a shelter in Maryland. Since I wanted a hypo-allergenic dog I said I wanted the poodle. Unfortunately or FORTUNATELY, the poodle had a foster parent already so we had no choice but to get the pug. November 11 we met the rescue van and both dogs were there. I insisted on getting the poodle but they told us that we had to take the pug. We were also warned that the pug was so active. That scared me!! No choice we had to take him or else ~~ not sure what would have happened to Ben. We took him home. As soon as we got home and took him inside the house, he kept on running and running and running..non stop like a crazy dog. After a few minutes he settled down. We gave him a bath, he did smell a lot (coming from a shelter). Still I did not know if I wanted him or not, we were told to take him to the adoption event. The next day my son cried and was so upset that we were giving the dog for adoption. So during the adoption event my husband told the head of the rescue that we were keeping the pug. Everything now depended on his health, November 15 was his vet visit. Ben was a healthy pug. November 19...he was officially ours...he give us so much love and joy!! We can't imagine life without BEN!!

Bio:
His vet said Ben is a pug and is about 2 years of age. I don't know his exact birthday. The only thing we know is that we rescued him and that we love him...no matter what!!
