DOTD!!!!!

Wow, Momma logged in to Facebook this morning and saw a message from my pal Cherry, she informed us I had been chosen DOTD today! What an honor and I want to thnk all my pawsome pals that have left me pretty rosettes to brighten up my page and also for the pmails, I am so excited! My Daddy in San Diego got sick of only being able to see the same 10 pics of me when he visited my page that he sent the payment to HQ to have my Plus re-instated, Thank you Daddy! I miss you.

My King Reggie is now an Angel

Momma got a call last night about 8:30 telling her that my little boyfriend Reggie had gone to the Bridge, he was 16 1/2, he stopped eating a few days ago and was real weak, he laid down for a nap and just never woke up, what a peaceful way to start your journey. I know he is up at the Bridge watching over all of us.
Rest well my love.

Pin Up Pup?

Hey there every pup, sure hope all is well with you, we are happpy here in rainy Northwest Indiana. Momma entered Montana and I in a contest for the Roger's Rescue 2010 Calendar, there were over 430 entries for 14 spots. Momma got a congratulatory email the other day informing her that my picture won a place in their calendar, you know the one pups, it 's when I was little and had been eating sand on the beach! The woman needs to move on, I no longer look like that, I tip the scales at a very dainty weight 85 pounds. My crazy Momma loves that picture and heck, it got me a place in the calendar, so who am I to complain? The lady said in the email, she would like for me to be "Miss June", which is Momma's birthday.
A special shout out to my bestest Pei Pal ever, Dusty,today he is the Dog Painting of the Day on Terry Stanley's site, she is so talented and Dusty is so handsome.

9 months Post Op

Momma is so happy with my progress! I run and chase Montana and right before we go to bed, Momma takes us out in our backyard and we both chase the lazer light, I am not quite as fast as my sister as you can imagine being that she is a Husky mix but I now hold my own! When it rains ( it does that a lot here) Momma runs us up and down the hallway with the light.
I am still proud of Momma first for being cigarette free for over 13 months and the second is for listening to her doctor's she would heal properly after the pneumonia and also that her neck surgery healed. Now we have more play time with her! Have I mentioned how much I just love having Momma home everyday!!! Well, I do, I am one happy puppy here!!

My Birthday

Happy 4th pups, today is also my 3rd birthday, yep, I'm 3, Momma can hardly believe it. I got a whole bunch of cards, toys, treats and even a birthday cake! I must admit it was a great day, one thing is annoying however, all those nice neighbors setting off fireworks, I know they are in honor of me but, I am tired now and want to rest. How can a girl get any rest with all she hears is "BOOM" POP" BOOM BOOM BOOM". I'm so done with all that noise, Momma won't let me or my sister out side, I think she's afraid I will stroll on over there and give them a piece of my mind! It is only getting dark here, Momma has tried to tell me that it is only going to get worse here pretty quickly. Humans, I swear sometimes Grrrr....................
Anywho, thanks to all of you that have sent me birthday wishes either in a page pretty or p-mail.

Back to San Diego?

No way pups, but boy did I think we were today! Uncle Ron , my best boy Rheed, Momma and I got in Uncle's car and drove for about 20 minutes, all of a sudden I got the surprise of the day, a beach! A real beach with sand and waves and even a few pups! WooHoo, Uncle Ron has pictures on his camera since my loving Momma left hers at home. We got down right to where the waves come and I just stopped, ( that's right, I don't like water!) Uncle Ron and Rheed threw about 10 sticks into the surf and I did exactly what they did, stood there and watched them hit ( you want that stick back? Then you best get in that water and get it yourself, girlfriend here ain't going in that wet stuff! Throw it on the sand, I will run after it, bring it back, nope not me, wrong dog guys, that would be Montana and she's home with Ryan remember? Humans!!)
We are back home now, family is gone, I am crashed on the couch!
What a great morning!

Doing the Happy Dance here !!!!!

WooHoo, Montana and I couldn't be happier, Momma gave us both our favorite chewies at bedtime to celebrate, we have two things we are celebrating, first the biopsy Momma had came back clean, no cancer !!! The Biggest news, pups are you still down? Momma that used to log about 120,000 air miles a year, well she won't be doing it anymore! Her Doctor told her yesterday that he didn't think it was such a great idea and is putting her on permanent disability!!!!!! Can you believe it pups, we are so happy right, now to get the proper paperwork to the insurance company so they can start requesting Momma's medical records, we have money for all expenses put aside just incase it takes them a bit, heck the insurance company where Momma has the policy to pay the mortage 30 days after she becomes disabled is having a difficult time getting these records, they should have started paying in April.
It will all come in time, gotta go do more of my dance now.

Nikita the Nurse

Hey pups, sorry I haven't updated in a while, I have been very busy being Momma's nurse. She had a cervical fusion on 2 levels on 3/10, when she came home she had this funny looking thing on her neck, she called it a collar but it didn't look anything like any of Montana's or my collars, crazy Momma. After 2 weeks of keeping Montana in line Momma came down with something they called Septic Pneumonia, off to the hospital she went for 5 more days, my Uncle Ron told us that Momma is really sick, my nephew Ryan came to stay with me and Montana. I was so happy when Momma finally came home, she has no energy but she is home! Momma went back to her doctor last week, she still had a fever so the doctor gave Momma a big bunch of new medications. I say a prayer every night that Momma gets well, I love my Momma.
