Tag Rules

Hey fellow pups! My pal Simon tagged me and now I'm it. I get to choose 7 of my pals to tag.

Here are the rules:

Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Dogs who are tagged, need to post in their Diary the rules & their 7 pawsome facts. Then choose 7 dogs to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to bark them a pmail that they have been tagged and to read your Diary, or, send them a fun Rosette announcing they've been Tagged!

1. I think I'm as small as my step-sister Honey so I figure I can jump in anybody's lap and be carried all over the place.

2. I love to chase those slipperly cats around the house.

3. I too get to sleep on the bed but prefer to sleep near the head of the bed so I can breath on everybody. I can also see when they wake up!

4. There's nothing better than a mound of snow to play in. This hot weather is for the birds.

5. I don't like to be left home alone and I tend to chew on things I shouldn't.

6. I can growl like a mean vicious dog, but I'm really just into cuddling.

7. Barking is fun.

I'm tagging the following 7 pups!

About a week ago I got fixed. Nobody told me I was broken! Mommy said this is to prevent me from having puppies. I may have liked having puppies but nobody asked me. But I'll trust my mommy that this is for the best. My belly has been shaved and it feels funny. There's these stitches that itch and when I try to lick them I get scolded (gently). I am told that I'm lucky as I didn't have to wear a lampshade on my neck. I was given pain pills but since I'm so hardy and strong, I only had to take them for two days. After that I was running around and chasing the cats (my favorite sport), this even though I was under orders from the vet to keep quiet. Heck, with four cats in the house how am I supposed to keep quiet. I feel good and I'm going to run around.

Colorado is one the best places for a Norwegian Elkhound to live. You wouldn't believe all this wonderful snow that's fallen. Seems like every week there will be new, fresh, powdery snow on the ground. I like nothing better than to help clear the driveway and backyard of the snow. I can push it around with my nose and make tunnels.

One thing, I must be gaining weight as I no longer fit through the railings inside the house. I can get my big head through but my body gets stuck. Very frustrating when I'm chasing the cats and they run through with no problem but I'll have to back out and go around, which causes me to lose sight of those slippery cats.

At least my other doggy sister, Honey, still plays with me. My paws seem to be a lot bigger than hers. I try to take the submissive posture when playing and will role on my back trying to encourage Honey to play but I think I may be accidentally hurting her. I'm going to try to be more gentle with Honey so she doesn't get so angry with me. Honey is still my best friend ... next to my caretakers.

I'm almost big enough to jump up on the couch where all the cats run when I'm chasing them. Just wait until that happens and I'm sure the smug faces of the cats will change. Honey, my step-sister mutt-dog is finally playing with me. She's so much fun to play with, especially when she runs in circles around me. I can't keep up with her yet. I do try to be as gentle as I can as my paws are already larger than hers and I could probably hurt her if I bit too hard. But I love my step-sister mutt-dog and want to stay in her good graces so I let her have all the chew toys first. Even if she tries to sneak a piece of my puppy kibble, I never complain (she does when I try to sample her food though).

I can't seem to stop eating dirt, sand and rocks. This has been causing my stomach to hurt. The vet said I could get a blockage which is serious. My human mom is trying to help me stop this addiction and I'm hoping I'll stop eating rocks and sand before anything bad happens.

It appears that my ears are drooping. Not too long ago, both my big ears would stand up nice and straight. They were kind of big for my head but I could keep them up with no problem. For some reason, one ear drooped, and then shortly after, the other did the same. Sometimes I can keep one ear up but mostly they both fold over. When I run I can feel them bounce on top of my head .... I like it when that happens. At least my tail is still tightly curled.

Ursula has been with our family for three weeks now. We bought her from a pet store on impulse. There are more than enough animals living in this house to keep everybody busy but luckily we have enough room for this latest addition.

Ursula has the cutest little puppy face and can do both the "sad puppy dog eyes" and the big happy smile when needed.

Her first two weeks were unfortunately not the easiest. She had some sort of parasite that made her unable to keep any food inside of her little puppy body. After getting perscription canned puppy food and three different types of medications, she seems to be on her way to a healthy puppy-hood.

I'm sure the other older animals preferred Ursula in her more docile state when she was sick and had no energy to chase them; but having a healthy bouncy puppy is much preferred over one that is ill.

She's finally putting on weight and her rib cage no longer sticks out (thus the name Fuzzy Piggy; hint she has a tightly curled tail as well). She loves to cuddle and will obviously need some training now that she's feeling better.
