Birthday: August 15th 2006 Likes: Playing outside; going for rides; annoying Zip; going for walks; frapping with and without Zeke; Pet-Peeves: Being held; wearing a collar. Favorite Toy: Pecans! Ty mouse; anything that she can get her mouth around. Favorite Food: Anything that my parents are eating (but they won't let me have it), green beans, pumpkin. Favorite Walk: In our neighborhood. Best Tricks: Giving kisses. Arrival Story: I had been wanting another pet for awhile. I hated it that Zip was home alone while we worked. My husband did not want another dog! Some friends of ours had some Corgi puppies for sale and I kept telling my husband that we needed to go see them. He said that we'd end up getting one if we went. Anyway, we went and looked at them. After about 30 seconds, he asked me which one I wanted. I picked Zia and told hubby that she would make a really great birthday present. Two days after my birthday, I brought Zia home. My husband, son, and daughter-in-law bought her for me. I recovered very quickly from my "big girl" surgery! I had my first trip to the groomers. I did very good there. I just don't like the blow dyer. My cute little behind was so fluffy! Zip and I got to go to the lake with mommy and daddy for 6 days! My granny and grandpa were there, too! The best thing about going to the lake is that I got to see Mollie and Marlee. That's my grandparent's pups! We had so much fun. We played and played all day long. At night I didn't even play around in bed; I just crashed! We got to ride in the golf cart, too.
I am feeling much better today. I am back to my bouncy self, but Mommy and Daddy sure are having a cow when I try to jump up on something. Zip and I were rolling around with one another and we got into a lot of trouble for that. Daddy was home with me and Zip while Mommy worked today. We were so excited!
Mommy and Daddy took me to see the man who gives me shots this morning. On the way over there I wasn't real happy because Zip wasn't in the truck with me. Anyway, they gave me a shot and I got so sleepy. The next thing I know, I wake up, my tummy is shaved, and I have these black things in my tummy. Mommy and Daddy finally come and got me! I was happy to see them, but was pretty groggy. When I got in the truck, Mommy got in the back with me. I think she feels guilty because I'm not feeling so good. Daddy kept saying, "Remember, monkey, Mommy did this, not me." I know he was a part of it because HE drove us there! I kept looking out the window, then I'd try to get up front with Daddy, but Mommy wouldn't let me. Finally, about 5 miles from home I laid down in Mommy's lap. When I got home, I went to the bathroom first! I'd been needing to go for awhile, but wouldn't go at the vet man's place. I came in the house, got a drink, ate a bite of my food, then threw it up. After that I fell asleep. Then I thought I'd better write and tell you how I was before I went back to sleep. Mommy said I'd be better in a few days and that Daddy would be home with me all day tomorrow! Yippee!! Well, I'm going back to sleep.
