-pound dog

Howling at dangerous deer. Patrolling his pasture. Snuggling with his kitties. Hanging out with mom.

Being left alone. His strange sister Roxanne.

Favorite Toy:
His monkey. Gilly LOVES his monkey.

Favorite Food:
Prairie high quality kibble plus everything he steals from the garbage can.

Favorite Walk:
Red Bud Isle

Best Tricks:
Gilbert answers questions with a awoooooooo!

Arrival Story:
Tucker needed a brother and we searched and searched for just the right dog for him. Tucker rejected a lot of dogs, but finally, someone from craigslist (aussiedog) emailed me his picture from the shelter about 20 miles away because she was a volunteer for the shelter and had fallen in love with the noisy boy. We brought Tucker to meet Gilbert and they got along right away. Gilbert is just about the cutest, snuggliest dog ever. He is very good and very polite with his cats. His only weakness is counter-surfing and garbage can diving. - a habit which he has, unfortunately taught his brother Tucker.

Gilbert is little for a Coonhound but he bays like a big dog!! After a lot of research, we think Gilbert might be a purebred. He was found wandering the streets, intact, skinny and forlorn. He's a very happy boy now and we love him.

My mom took me to the Mighty Texas dogwalk where they are trying to break some kind of record. Wow, there were a lot of pups there! I like Austin, Texas! Tucker couldn't go because he hurt his stupid toe.

Today, she has decided that I might be a blue tick coonhound instead of a black and tan. She saw some pictures of blue ticks with black backs like me and they do look a lot like me! I can't tell her who my parents are, but even if I could, I wouldn't because I kinda like that she keeps wondering. I'm the mystery coonhound. WoooHoooo!

Mom, Tucker and I watched "Where The Red Fern Grows" because it was raining outside. She thought I'd like it, seeing as I'm a coonhound and all. I wish I could go hunting, but mom doens't let me even chase cats.
