Leave a bone for Edie (Chow Baby)

Nicknames: Edster, Big E, Purdy Girl, Pig Pen

Quick Bio:
Likes: I like playing with Mum & Dad and my little sister Emma; pestering the cats, Bob & Alice; walks; rides in the car; camping; and meeting new people that will make a big fuss over me. Oh, and belly rubs are THE BEST!

Pet-Peeves: I hate having my ears cleaned and I really can't understand why the cats get to run through Mum's flowers but I can't

Favorite Toy: Whatever my little sister Emma has is my new favourite toy and I have to take it from her straight away to show her how to play with it properly.

Favorite Food: Socks! Yum! Mum says they're not to be eaten and they could cause me real harm but what does she know!

Favorite Walk: Anywhere that I can stomp through water!

Best Tricks: I do a fairly good high five but I'm best at "wait" and "leave it". Not really tricks I guess, more just being a good girl for Mummy and Daddy.

Arrival Story: My Mum and Dad lost their last dog, a lab collie cross named Annie, suddenly and were devastated. They just couldn't be without a dog. They tried adopting Charlie, another collie cross, and were heartbroken again when it became clear that he just wasn't happy with them. After finding him a more suitable home they decided getting a puppy was the best way to be sure they would have a happy, healthy friend for many years. They considered loads of different breeds and kept coming back to their first choice, a lab... so here I am!

Bio: Edie's name is a play on words inspired by the Cult song Edie (Ciao Baby) because when we brought her home she was, and still is, a purebred Chow Hound! She has received her puppy good citizens certificate and is bilingual, knowing all her commands in both English and American (hee hee)! She was born on a sheep farm near Ludlow where the nice people there say they "have tried hard to produce a dual purpose dog with good conformation, attitude, and temperament". But Edie doesn't know anything about all that, pedigree names and blood lines don't mean a thing to her. She's just the sweetest, most lovable companion that she can possibly be. We do our very best to insure a full and active life for her and in return she fills our lives with more joy than we could have ever imagined.
