Arrival Story:
I found Zoe on the internet through what appeared to be a reputable breeded. Sadly, this was not true and they ended up being a puppy mill from Oregon. These people breed their dogs and then ship down to CA and drop them off to people at freeway exits. Zoe was one of several sad and scared puppies being dropped off. She was only 1 pound when I got her at 6.5 weeks. A puppy should be with their Mom until at least 8 weeks. These people are also bringing their litters into CA at 4-5 weeks old and dropping them off with local people to sell them. Zoe only lived 4 months because she had a liver condition and was sick almost her whole life. When she died, she was only 4 pounds. By the time she died, 2 legs were in casts and a third she couldn't use. Despite that, she was very loving and seemed very happy and made me very happy. She loved being held and spending time in my lap and playing with the kitty when she felt good. She was a great puppy!

Bio:
NEVER buy a puppy on the internet. NEVER buy a dog from someone who will not let you visit the parents, the kennel, and the puppies. If all the 'breeder' is concerned about is your money, go somewhere else!! You wouldn't buy a car without checking it out and seeing it, why would you buy a dog that way? These people offer no health gaurantees, and as soon as they have their money you will never be able to get a hold of them again. Craiglist- NOT the place to find a dog. The paper- NOT the place to find a dog. Go to a dog show, talk to the breeders there, find people with your breed of dog and see where they got their dog, do your research! Also check out www.nopuppymills.com to see what you will be supporting if you buy a dog from these people or pet stores.
