Arrival Story:
When I lived in SF, Baobei belonged to my roomate and his fiancee. Their engagement broke-off and Baobei moved all the way back across the country to NY. Sadly, she couldn't stay in NY and in May of 2004 we took her in here in Chicago to live with us.

Bio:
Baobei's first owner was from Taiwan and spoke mainly Mandarin Chinese. Thus her name, pronounced "bow-BAY" , which means "precious." Baobei understands only Chinese commands. She won't "come" but she will "lai"
