Me... a big sister??

Well, a few months ago my mom and dad told me that I was going to be a big sister. My mom hasn't been able to walk me anymore (since I still pull really hard when I see other dogs) , and she is starting to look very different! They keep telling me its a few more months now. I'm excited to have someone new to lick all over!

Its been a while

Hey all! Its been a while since I've been able to write. My mom has the summer off so we spend a lot of time together playing outside, taking walks and snuggling on the couch. I LOVE IT! I got to do some swimming at the resevoir and play with some other pups. Its been a great summer so far!

My mom has a bunch of new pictures of me to put up on the page.. .. I hope you like them.

I'm blushing!

I got so many compliments yesterday, I really think my mom and dad should take me out to a professional photo shoot! My mom and dad gave me so many hugs and kisses for being a special pup. I got some extra treats, but I really wanted something better than lettuce (gee, thanks dad!) Oh well, I'll take what I can get.

With all of the excitement I forgot to talk about my last class. (My grandma reads this, so I want to let her know how good I'm doing!)

Well, first the teacher tested our sitting and waiting one minute. Mom was nervous because I was being stubborn the day before and she really had to push my butt down to make me sit! But, at class I was a show off and did it perfectly. I was a little loud again... I can't help myself! The teacher gave me a rawhide treat to chew on this time... so I thought I would be nice and let her talk.

We learned the "stay" command (again, I'm already a pro) and "come." Now, I have selective hearing when I hear "come" so I guess I better practice that one.

Next week it is down and stay. Hmmm.. they are getting harder with this stuff.
I better start studying!

WOW!!!! THANKS DOGSTER!!!

My mom opened up her email and had 41 messages from DOGSTER. It took her a few seconds to see the one that said "DOG OF THE DAY!!!" She was so excited that when I heard her call my name I ran into the room and jumped right up into her lap so I could see what the fuss was all about! Thanks Dogster and all of the nice dogs (and owners) that said such nice things about me! I love all my rosettes, stars and bones! I wish that I could lick all of you in person!

A+ Student!

So I had my first day of school today. Mom wanted to bring her camera but she was afraid she might embarrass me, so she kept it home.

Mom was really nervous that I would be a maniac with the other dogs around, but I proved her wrong. I have to admit, I did have a hard time staying quiet while the teacher was talking, but I managed to calm down after a while but not before the teacher called me a "troublemaker!" (she also said I was beautiful.) I must have been extra special because the teacher picked me to show everyone how to sit and stay by her side! My mom was so proud of me because I sat right away and I stayed there the whole time the teacher wanted me to! The teacher even said I had a good attention span! I did think that I would learn more than "sit", since I already know that one. I think I'm going to ace this course!

My mom think s I better study though, because in a few weeks we are going to learn how to say hello to a stranger without jumping up - now why would you want to do that??? She also said we are going to learn how to ignore other dogs when we are on a walk... that might be tough for me, since I LOVE to say hello!

I'll let you know. Next week is sit and down.. easy stuff!

I should be in movies!

N0w, I knew that my mom and dad thought I was cute. But, lately, whenever my mom and dad walk me around, lots of people keep telling me how gorgeous or beautiful I am. People have come out of their house, crossed the street, and even pulled over in their cars just to tell me how pretty I am! I feel so special that I prance down the street after they leave! Maybe I should ditch this place and try to make it in the movies!

Uh ohh..

I must be a bad girl because my dad told me that I'm going to some kind of "school" in a few weeks. I wonder what I will learn there? I already know a lot of things, like how to sit, stay, roll over, and even sit pretty. I also know how to open up the cabinet door to get to the garbage, how to find mom's fuzzy pink sock in her drawer, how to trick my dad into thinking I peed when I really didn't.... I'm pretty smart! I guess I have to wait and see!

Who's Petey?

Phew! I'm tired!! Our family went for a LOOOOOONGGG walk todayin a new park. We walked 8 miles total.. and I'm pooped out! I had a great time meeting some new dogs and people on our walk. I especially liked how everyone kept telling me how cute I was! A whole family on bicycles even stopped just to ask my mom and dad what kind of puppy I was, and to tell me how adorable I am!

The only thing that I'm confused about is that everyone kept calling me "Petey." Don't they know my name is Jolie, and that I'm NOT a boy? I think I might ask mom to get me a pink sweater so that people know that I'm a pretty girl, and not this "Petey" character.

When we got home, I got even more compliments from my favorite neighbor Pete (is that who those people were talking about?), who always comes over to say hello when I'm outside. He really likes me... and I like him too. I just wish that he had some treats when he came over.

Well, I'm pretty tired now. It's been a busy day. I'm going to curl up in my new living room bed, and sleep the day away.

Happy Holidays everybody!

Yay! Mommy and Daddy have been home most of the week, and we have had such a good time playing and taking long walks together. I got to meet all of my family this week, and they all loved me! I snuggled with my great-grandma's feet to butter her up. It worked, because even though she is scared of dogs, she petted me!

Mommy and Daddy got me some special treats and a nice squirrel doll for Christmas. I knew that Mommy and Daddy wanted me to show them what a good hunter I would be, so I ripped that squirrel doll up into pieces in one day!

We took our longest walk together today, 4 1/2 miles at the resevoir. I love running in the water there, and looking at all of the birds, squirrels and people there. I'm getting better and better on my leash, and I think that makes Mommy and Daddy very happy!

Well, I'm about to pass out now. Happy New Year everyone!!

Boy, am I a handful!

Today started out as a way fun day. I had my first playdate on my own home turf. Bailey from next door came over and we ran and ran and ran! She sure is big and fast, and ran me right over! She's fun, but could use a lesson on how to share toys!

After that, I was tuckered out. Good thing, mommy wasn't feeling good either, because she let me nap with her! I wish she would get sick more often!!

Mommy and Daddy have bought me all sorts of chew toys, but I'm more into playing with the watering can, hose, brush, gloves, rakes, and boots! I should start a landscaping company!
