Likes: Going to the dog park, going to Camp Bow Wow, camping, going to Grandpa & Grandma's. Playing with the laser light.
Pet-Peeves: Anyone leaving the house, the vacuum, the stuffed talking parrot, getting up in the morning.
Favorite Toy: Ice Blue Puppy and the laser light, it's so fun chasing that red dot.
Favorite Food: I like the food I'm supposed to eat which is Blue Petfood for Dogs. I like the fish & sweetpotato flavor. I also like bread crust, cheese, conversation hearts candy, apples, carrots, green beans, and I'm open to trying new things. I also like rawhides.
Favorite Walk: Around the neighborhood, going to the dog park.
Best Tricks: Shake, Sit, Laying Down, we are still working on Come when Called.
Arrival Story: After we lost our dog, we said we were going to wait 2 years to get another dog. Because he left such a huge void in our lives we started looking around. We thought we would get a dog in the Spring of 2007, but when the breeder (Merrylegs Corgis) sent us Kirby's picture we had to have him now. We drove to Cincinnati on September 23, 2006 to pick him up. He's been a nice addition to our family. If you're looking for a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, our breeder is wonderful. I'd be glad to put you in touch with her.
Bio: I have two Dads. They really love me and take good care of me. They say I'm their four legged son. I think we're all blessed to have each other. Speaking of blessed if you see the spot in the middle of my head, that's called a "blessing spot." It's thought to be similar to when human's get a blessing on their forehead, like on Ash Wednesday. Mine is with me all the time, so I'm blessed all the time. I try to convince my Daddies that it means I'm a little angel, but they aren't falling for it. :)
Ok there are rumors flying that I was named after a vacuum, I'll have you know that those rumors are not true. My Daddy Greg was reading a book by Dean James, the lead character is Dr. Simon Kirby-Jones. Dr Kirby-Jones is a gay vampire who takes special pills so he doesn't have to bite necks anymore and he is also a writer. My Daddy Greg liked the book so much he suggested the name Kirby to Daddy Bryan. They do the name thing backwards as they choose a name first and look for a dog that fits the name. Actually I think that's kind of cool.
As for other RUMORS about us Pembroke Corgis, you need to read the Truth About Corgis at: http://www.goldengatecorgis.org/ar ticles/truth_article.htm

Favorite Treat: Charlee Bear Treats, like liver and the egg & cheese flavors. I love a good rawhide. At last count I had 40 partly chewed rawhides. Some people say I'm spoiled, but I like to think of it as being "well-loved."
Special Group: I'm the Admin for Corgis of Michigan. I'd like to see more Corgis in Michigan join. So come on Pembrokes and Cardigans are welcome!
Things I do for fun: Once a week, usually Wednesdays I can be found playing at Camp Bowwow-Kentwood. It is so much fun going there. I make new friends, play with old ones and just have a great time.
