Cosmo has garnered 9 agility titles in NADAC, completing his Novice titles and already winning several Open titles. He will return to work on more agility trials this fall, when the weather is hopefully a little drier! We've had record rain here in Central Texas this summer, and it's been no fun keeping up with drying everything out every time you go anywhere.
He will be traveling with Emma June to trials this fall, so it should be a little more fun for him and Emma during the evening down time.

Cosmo competed for a second time in April 2005, at the FAST trial in Rendon Texas. He was amazing. He brought home another pile of ribbons for his classes! He had a qualifying run in jumpers, and was fifth place overall in his class. He also placed 2nd in the regular Combo class, placed 3rd and qualified in another Combo class, and was a wild man in the tunnelers class - 14th place.
We will take a summer break and then enter some trials this fall in Texas. We are having a blast going to classes, games nights, and Cosmo's favorite - finding a great swimming hole to spend the afternoon in. Cosmo has also learned to come along on my trail rides with my 4 yr old Appaloosa filly, and he loves climbing the hills and scouting ahead on the trails.

On the weekend of March 12-13 2005, Cosmo competed in his first ever Agility trial. We had a devil of a time deciding which classes to enter, but the club members and instructors at our agility club, K9X in Austin, Texas, were so helpful that it seemed easy.
Cosmo earned what is called a "Q", a qualifying run, in the tunneler class on Saturday. Such excitement. There were about a dozen tunnels set up in a complicated pattern, and he rocketed through them like there was no tomorrow.
On Sunday, he ran in his first jumpers class, with 15 jumps and two tunnels set up in a challenging, complicated course. There were about 45 other dogs in the class, and Cosmo earned third place in that class. He ran clean, but wasn't fast enough to earn another Q in that class. No one in his class earned a Q though, as that time would have been lightning fast, and these were all Novice dogs.
Cosmo had such a blast, we are already looking over some entry forms for the next trial to enter.......
Onward!
