Arrival Story:
My boxer "Blue" and mixed breed Izzy were rescues and adult dogs with they joined my life. I decided to treat myself to a puppy when Izzy crossed to the Rainbow Bridge. What sold me on Toby was his sweet face ! My favorite dogs are Boxers and Terriers, and now in my life I have one of each at the same time ! Can life get any better ?

Bio:
This is funny, but of course I can't let it continue. My oldest granddaughter "Alexis" is 7. She is great with animals, cats, dogs, ferrets. She picks Toby up appropriately, supporting his back legs and body carefully. Here's the strange thing, a few times when she has gone to pick Toby up, he nips at the air next to her arms as she is picking him up ! He has not touch her skin with his teeth at all, but almost like a warning nip. Here's just about the worst and funniest thing, he will only do the nipping thing when he thinks I'm not looking ! My dear sweet boxer is a huge dog. Toby sleeps in my bed with me, Blue isn't allowed to sleep in my bed, but he is allowed up with me for a visit. A few days after Toby came to live with me, Toby was in bed with me and Blue came to get petting. He puts his head on my bed and gets scratched etc. When Blue went to put his head on the bed, Toby "flew" over and nipped at the "air" in front of Blue's face. Pretty cheeky for a puppy who's total mass probably equals that of Blue's head and neck ! Blue is the total sweetheart and ignores the warning nip. The two rough-house and play like there is no tomorrow. At first I was worried about Blue stomping accidently on Toby, but it just doesn't happen. They race from one end of the house, then to the porch and backyard. Blue is amazed that Toby gets treats for pooping in the backyard. Blue's like "look at all the poop I made and do I get a treat for it"
