No More Pepper

My cat Pepper passed away. She was 20! I miss her a lot. She would beat me up all the time, but I loved her anyway. Mom and Dad got a new cat who is still a little kitten. Her name is Jada and hopefully Mom will get the pictures up on Catster soon so you can all see how cute she is. I can't wait until she realizes that I'm not out to get her.

So life is interesting with a kitten in the house. She runs around a lot. Boy, she has a lot of energy! It's all a bit much for me. I'd rather sleep. Mom went a bit nuts with the toys, she has them all over. I think she got a new ball for me out of guilt. But I love my ball!

My cat Pepper has a Catster page - and her diary is Diary of the Day today! I couldn't be more proud of her. Now if I can only get her to stop beating me up, doesn't she know I love her (I love everyone, though).

So today my mom took me on a long walk. She's obsessed with finding all the public stairs around our house in Echo Park and Silver Lake. We live where there are lots of hills, and sometimes instead of roads, there are just stairs. And some people live off of those stairs! So today we were in Echo Park, but only found two small stairs. But lots of hills! I'm worn out. I'm going to sleep good today. I mean, better than normal. And I'm an exceptional sleeper.

And I have a new bone to chew on. Yesterday Mom and Dad gave me their bone out of the rib roast they made. I thought yesterday was all about turkey, but not at our house. Which makes me happy, because if we had a turkey, I wouldn't get any bones. I'm so thankful for bones.

Woof!

I'm so happy it's Sunday, the mean mailman won't be here. Why would anyone come to the door and not want to say hi to me? Mom hasn't taken me for my morning walk yet, she keeps sitting in front of that screen thing and looking at other dogs. I hope she takes me soon, I'm hungry. I hope we aren't going to do so many stairs today, yesterday we went up and down two of them. They are better than going up hill though. That wears me out!

So my big plans for today... I think it's a sleeping day. I had to get a bath yesterday. I was dirty! I hate the water, but then mom gets out the blow dryer, and that's my favorite! Now I'm all fluffy and cute! Who can resist me?
