Arrival Story:
We had actually filled out all of the paper work at our local shelter to adopt another dog. When we called about picking her up we found out that her owner at finally tracked her down and had come to the shelter that very morning. My kids were devestated and we decided to go back to shelter again to have a look at the other dogs Jackson was sitting in his cage with his paws on the door wimpering. My oldest son said "Mom, I think I found our dog." And we did :-) We found out that Jackson was brought in (as "Rogue") with another dog (a lovely Rottweiler named Ella) because a husband MADE his wife choose two of her dogs to get rid of (she had 3, he had 1- he was tired of cleaning up after them all. *I* would've gotten rid of the husband.)

Bio:
Jackson is really sweet natured but he looks very "worried" a great majority of the time. We suspect that he was not socialized very well prior to our adopting him as he is very leary of strangers and barks, snarls & acts quite aggressive (particularly when he is on a leash- the trainers call it "leash aggression" but it all stems from him being anxious.) He acts quite fierce when we are out and about- Daddy says he's going to get a bad reputation in the neighborhood.
