Likes: Being upside down dog on the couch with Matt
Pet-Peeves: Wrinkles in her bed
Favorite Toy: Anything that Taz is playing with
Favorite Food: Freeze-Dried Beef Lung Treats
Favorite Walk: Trying to keep up with Taz at the empty elementary school
Best Tricks: Sydney can catch a treat no matter how high you throw it!
Arrival Story: We decided to get a companian for Taz and I knew a woman who worked for Dobe Rescue. We knew it had to be female, so they brought over Sydney to see it would be a fit. Taz and Syd became two peas in a pod over the next three years.
Bio: Sydney's history is simply too sad to repeat. She had a really bad history before she came to Dobe Rescue. When she joined out family, we gave her love and affection and spoiled her rotten, in hopes of diminishing her memories of her years of abuse. Sydney turned into quite the character.
In December of 2006, we found a lump deep in her chest. It turned out to be malignant and cancer had spread to her lungs. We kept her comfortable until it was time.

The Last Forum I Posted In: Help Give these Bridge Dogs Their Wings *Round 2*
I've Been On Dogster Since:
Jezzie provided me with wings today. The photo took Mom's breath away. Both Taz and the new chick, Shea, gave Mom lots of hugs and kisses. Mom cried and cried. It upsets Taz when she does this and Shea really doesn't understand yet.
Thank you so much for giving me the strength I needed to make the decision to adopt Shea. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you and all the wonderful memories you made when you came into our lives. You were a one-of-a-kind dog who left an impression on my heart.
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
